I'm curious to see how different this album will be compared to BB. She doesn't seem to experiment or change her sound just for the sake of it and it has probably more to do with her mindset when writing and recording her records. The thing is that her mindset often changes after the album is already done so she ends up switching things around a lot (like the LFL demos and outtakes being way different to the end result after she said she wanted a "less dreamy" record) I think Chemtrails is her only album that was released almost exactly as it was when it was first conceived in concept and it shows cause she was kinda unsure about how it turned out as said by herself in the Mojo Interview (even though I find funny that she was worried about it not being cohesive when it's probably her most cohesive record and in my opinion one of her best ) I'm sure that if it wasn't for the pandemic she would have reworked it into something more similar to BB cause being away from Jack really limited how much she could change about the songs at that time (even though who knows what BB sounded like in the beginning )

To be fair, Brooklyn Nights never got the release it was supposed to have had by that point. The single acapella performance was simply because a fan asked for it. More noteworthy would be Summerboy, which came out on the standard edition of The Fame in 2008 and, somehow, hasn't been performed since 2007 Even Money Honey, the song she considers the most skip-worthy on that album, has been performed more than 280 times.

Okay so Guns & Roses is a really good song. Usually, when our opinions about songs differ, I can see where the other person's coming from but I simply disagree, like I get your point. But for G&R I genuinely don't see the point...? The lyrics are beautiful, the humming in the beginning, the bridge is nice. @Surf Noir (sorry didn't know if you wanted to be tagged or not if I'm talking about you) called it mellow in their status which I think is really fitting. It's relaxing and warm and hazy, like a summer evening by the glistening ocean. I love lying in the sun and listening to it.

After knowing about his album I'm so confused about what pictures were about him and what is about Lana I doubt he booked Jack full time since he seems like a very busy man but maybe he shared some studio time with Lana? Idk. It's still so funny to me that he's actually releasing an album

I don't know any song by Lana that could be considered as "bad", even the least popular song is above average, except maybe some unfinished demos.

$3000/night? Jesus, lol. Not sure why some people are so allergic to funding their lifestyle with actual jobs instead of taking money from others. I and many people donated to her for the Dollhouse music video, and I'm sure there are still plenty of fans who would be willing to help support her if she would just be honest about what the money was for. She's not helping herself out lately with all this secrecy and weirdness. No, she definitely didn't. The album should be finished mixing and ready to go within a couple months if it isn't already, so she's probably getting ready to put out a single any time now despite the lack of interaction. I think it's safe to say we're going to get something by November, and it not then, we'll get *something* before 2023. There's no way she's career-suicidal enough to punk her fans for like, the fifth time this year.

Speaking of Eyes Without a Face, I love the cover Angel Olsen did. Her whole Aisles EP is sort of ominous covers of 80s classics, and sounds very Sky inspired. I remember Sky and Angel used to be good friends back in the day, with Angel even teaching Sky how to drive in her vintage Porsche. Ah I miss those days when Sky was more active and had friends that made it easy to stalk her lol
