Wow. Looks like I missed a lot while I was down for a nap. I don’t even really have words at the moment, this is just so devastating to hear, especially knowing this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Still processing all of this, but I’m considering implementing a no-link rule for any leaks. Typically, this only stands for content that is meant to be commercially released, but I feel like to be safe this should now be implemented for everything. Of course, discussion could still continue as that is inevitable, but I think we should separate ourselves from having links on our platform. At this point, it seems that everyone knows where to find leaks anyway, as they all sort of end up in the same place. Idk I still need to think about all of this. Here is the complete video of her reels she made along with her post note on her story. I’ll also type up a full transcription in a bit. (I see someone made a rough transcription, but for those who don’t know my actual full time job is as a transcriptionist so this is always good practice for me lol.) Wishing Lana safety and peace. heartbroken about the Behind the Iron Gates poetry book omg 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I’ve been so excited for it edit: I cannot even imagine how gut-wrenching that has to feel as an artist. that was HOURS AND HOURS of her life, thoughts, and art. to even try to recreate one lost work is unbelievable but all 200 pages? she deserves so much better than that. I really hope the rotten thief turns it back in or is caught. I’m positive no matter what she releases and when it’s ready/recreated it will still be incredible, but I honestly understand if she can’t endeavor to rewrite 200 pages of beautiful spur-of-the-moment poems 😭 wow

This is devastating, i know we like to joke about her music leaking and begging for leaks, but in this case i seriously hope that none of this stuff leaks and they catch the asshole who stole all of her files. I'm really hurting for her right now. I can't believe she lost all of her poetry too. It's like 2012 all over again. I really hope things take a turn for the better

Rough transcriptions: Video 1: So I wanted to talk to you guys about something for a minute - a few months ago I parked my car on Melrose place, and I stepped away for a minute, and the one time I left my backpack inside my car someone broke all of the windows and took it and inside of it was my computer and my 3 cam corders and my hard drives. I had to remotely wipe my computer that had my 200 page book for S&S, which I didn't have backed up to a cloud because we do not have any cloud systems that we access and despite that people are still able to access this week my phone and leak our songs and personal photos and I just want to mention that despite all of this happening I am confident in the record to come and despite so many safety factors in so many different levels I want to persist and make the best art I can.... Video 2: "And make the best art I can and even if I have to start over with my book which I do, you know obviously I won’t leave my stuff in my car even if it’s just for a moment but we’ve had these same issues at the house and it is a constant thing and although I’m so grateful to share all of the good stuff I just also want to share that it has been a challenge and I think that it’s important to share that it’s bit of a roadblock in terms of the creative process and keeping things safe and valuable and keeping ME safe as well with all of the um action that’s been going on around me and my home, everywhere I go and I don’t even think a plea for respect of privacy would even do anything but I do want to be honest about the fact that I do have concerns about what’s going to be out there and the two years worth of videos that we have from the family and everything that we had planned to turn into a small snippet of our lives over the last couple of years and everything else that might be in there and…." Video 4: ....Because it's not coming out yet and in terms of the book: I loved the book that I lost with all my heart and put a lot of passion into it and in terms of the cam corders we shall see what happens with that. Oh fuck basically someone broke in and stole her computer and hard drive and her 200 page Simon schuster book is gone forever and she has to restart her book all over and although she was able to wipe out her hard drive remotely people can still access other things like music and personal photos and whatever else she had on there and she’ll never leave stuff in the car again after someone broke all the windows and took her shit but despite all of this she’s still confident in the upcoming record OMFG I’m so sorry Lana I can’t fucking believe this

I’m still gutted about her book having vanished. This is just so horrible. as for leaks, I don’t know anymore how I should feel when new songs from her will pop up, knowing what we do today. I’ve been a bit on the fence since she put songs on BB we never thought she’d include on an album, and those songs leaked not so long before BB… So, I don’t know. gotta applause her bravery to be able to keep a straight face, move on and talk about it. That woman is the definition of resilience.

also it’s not going to stop discussion (or, alternatively, make it a lot more difficult which would be frustrating) everyone knows where to find leaks anyway, i just think there should be a time restriction for now, leaking a 2021 studio track is not the same as leaking a 2008 laptop demo

If Lana remotely wiped her computer, chances are it was a mac and she used her Apple account.. which means whoever took it would’ve known the Apple ID so I guess someone could gain access to her phone remotely if they brute forced? That’s kinda scary

they have access to her PHONE? she needs to get law enforcement involved, that’s a ridiculous level of hacking/invasion of privacy, that just seems so terrifying and even dangerous

The fact that I know that some of her fans are still going to listen to leaks after she said not to. She has one of the worst fan bases that I have seen when it comes to privacy unfortunately.

Does taylor not realise that she was literally setting herself up to be dragged. Is she that stupid to think that hyping this up wouldn't end in a huge backfire.
