It’s been over a week since that first snippet and we still have as much information now as we did then

I was analysing previous winners for the Alternative categories and I concluded that they give the award to the most acclaimed song/album... Last year, Best Alternative Music Album was given to Wet Leg, who were competing with Bjork, Arcade Fire, Japanese Breakfast and Halsey (). They also won Best Alternatvie Music Performance, a brand new category, against Arctic Monkeys, Big Thief, Florence and the Machine and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Big Thief deserved though). In previous years, Best Alternative Music Album was given to St Vincent, Fiona Apple, Vampire Weekend, The National, David Bowie, Alabama Shakes... so it's safe to assume they care a lot about "professional" critical success for this one. All these artists had the most acclaimed album compared to the rest of the nominees. A&W will definitely win Alt Performance. This year, Lana is against Boygenius, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz and PJ Harvey. It'll be tough, as both Ocean Blvd and The Record are the most acclaimed albums of the year; Ocean having more of a retrospective success and is currently enjoying a monumental moment. Best Pop Duo/Group Performance is an instant loss, as they always give it to the biggest collab of the year, as simple as that; Unholy, Kiss Me More, Rain On Me, Old Town Road, Shallow, Uptown Funk... They chose more alternative songs previously, like Feel It Still by Portugal the Man or Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots, but those were still enormous global hits. Candy Necklace, one of the least "commercial" songs from Ocean Blvd, has no chance, although it would be absolutely epic if it wins. This one will probably go to Taylor Swift and Ice Spice

I hope it's like Euphoria where the songs were released around the episode airing date. It would make sense since the first song comes out on the 31st and then there's the premiere of 3 episodes at once on February 14th (maybe Lana's song is used in one of these). There's like 7 weeks between the premiere and the album and the same number of tracks left (assuming they release 1 per episode). Unless we're really unlucky we're getting the song before the album

Sorry for rambling but here I go... I have a friend here in Argentina who went to Israel to participate in the military training that gives you around 6k of euros every month - and that was the sole reason she went there. I tried to explain to her why she shouldn't do it. Personally, my great grandparents were from Syria and they ran away to Argentina to survive. Syria also knows no peace - they were bombed as recently as October of 2023. So I feel the Palestine people deep in my heart. My friend went to Israel anyways (which it's OK) and was one of the best shooters of her squad. Then October happened and she shared a story on her Instagram saying "Israelis are different to Muslims as they don't teach hate at a young age as Palestinians do" and we had a huge argument about it. I told her that's not her war nor her problem. And that she shouldn't be siding because she's quite ignorant about it, because she wasn't raised Jewish, and didn't know anything about the conflict. I do, because I like reading, put attention to school and, as I said, I feel quite connected to Palestinians as Damascus (where my great grandparents were from) it's quite close it. I kind of feel sad because I feel I lost her. She said I made her uncomfortable and I told her she also made ME uncomfortable, shooting shit and participating in a genocide for 6K of euros a month. Is that the cost of your dignity? Maybe I shouldn't have done it... Maybe I went too far? I feel super sad about it. But I also felt like I couldn't help it. I was fuming! She asked to be released from the IDF nevertheless,and they granted that. I'm just hoping we can reconnect :/

That snippet OOOOH I moved... It sounds really great but I remember being able to hear the headphone bleed in the video of her recording Club Classics and the beat sounded different... I wouldn't be surprised if what's on 360 Brat is like a George Daniel VIP or remix. Plus the whole DJ set vibe just screams "remix," you know? I'm very excited to finally get an official tease.
