I think people being tired of Taylor is definitely a part of it, but there are plenty of valid reasons to dislike the music as well. I do like a lot of the album but overall find it underwhelming. 6-7 is not unreasonable at all. 1/10 on the other hand is obviously silly.

Fantano is ripping this album apart and it’s actually so embarrassing and making him really not respect him. I actually enjoy watching his reviews even when I disagree but wow the clip I saw of him reacting to it was just bad. He was just regurgitating the same tired Twitter takes that weren’t even about the music lol. Calling her creatively tired and a “perpetual victim” (which we could have an entire conversation on that critique and how irritating it is but whatever). The reviews on this album are so biased and I can’t wait in two years when people realize this is top 3 if not her best record lol.

This was Lana at her best - yes she was a little nervous in the beginning - but the middle and end have vocals that show both how much she has matured and that she still has it.

i think it's good this album is not getting universal acclaim like midnights, although i love it i recognize it has many flaws and taylor always makes a better record when she is receives criticism (rep/lover not winning grammies > folklore/evermore, red not being cohesive > 1989)

god people need to stop trying to make up drama. as if Lana cares. Taylor seems to love Lana and I believe her being a fan is genuine, but if Taylor had wanted Lana on the album she would've just asked, which means, if she did ask, that means Lana said no. she wouldn't be upset lmao I love Taylor and I love Lana (obviously) but my personal opinion is Lana only did SOTB because Jack probably pushed her to, which is probably why she was barely in it in the first version. If they hadn't shared a producer I imagine had Taylor asked if Lana would feature in a song, Lana probably would've politely declined. I wish we would get more Lana/Taylor just because I enjoy them both, and I'd love a performance, but they're really quite an odd pairing and I think people need to move on

Why do i feel like a My My Hey Hey cover would be the best cover she would ever do? But i feel like she would never do it given that the song seemed to be more for thematic purposes at Coachella, not for Lasso. Hence the “out of the blue, into the black”

Taylor has no effect on Lana's career, although i'm sure Taylor wishes she did, bless. Lana may get comparisons to Cowbored Carter, but i think comparisons will be minor and pointless. Comparisons will mostly be done by the gays on social media, which is ultimately an echo chamber of lisping. Lana has existed and will always exist in her own lane, no matter how country Beyonce goes or how much Taylor flops with overexposure. Lasso is still months and months away. Honestly, even if she releases in 2025, she will still get the "comparisons" no matter what because of the current disgusting country boom.

I mean, it's just so funny how Lana is always a trendsetter and always go against whats trending while people still naming their album titles as sharp, short, clear, marketable as possible, Lana went out with shits like "Norman Fucking Rockwell!", "Chemtrails over The Country Club" and "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd", they are all so camp but so iconic at the same time. and now everyone seems like doing long ass album title trying to be as standout as Lana did and Lana in the other hand, goes with one single, simple word: Lasso And this album title has actually grown on me in last few weeks. Cant wait to meet you, Lasso.

we rejoice! as much as i love lana’s quiet acoustic songs like not all those who wander, i’d loveeeee for the acoustic guitar to be more loud like how it is in hey blue baby. henry come on is lovely from what we’ve heard, i just want a bit more energy from the rest of the album.

Not when Taylor just dropped a 30 track album, and Billie and Dua are about to drop singles and albums this month. Imo, Lana should wait till the end of May to drop the first single. That's 3 months before the album. So she can do one single per month before the release date to promote it actively.
