19 likesWooooohhh!!! Ok just watched the video. Fuckin icon she is, I mean just stupendous. Her presence, her manipulation, performance as life and vice versa. Loved the piano too; the very end, the question of madness, exceptional. But like, i...no i need to hold fast, this shit is coming in September. Me, crazy? No, no of course not, I mean look we're on lanaboards for the 197th day straight, thats not, crazy. No I'm normal. (LORD does she enjoy reminding us why we stan)

18 likesLate to the party but I absolutely fucking love the Interview video. The aesthetic, the vibe, the blurred lines. I’m really hoping this is to serve as an introduction into COTC and what that record is to personify. I can def see her using this as an opportunity to go full out and fuck with the critics. We love to see it! I can’t help but feel there will still be some who take it fully seriously lol. Although I feel like she is portraying a caricature of herself seen through the lens of fame I can def feel that there are many truths in here as well. They may be magnified or exaggerated for the sake of art but they are there, nonetheless. Very very interesting concept. Love her! This really hypes me up for the album. Very excited to hear the sound, story, and vibe of what she has to say now. This is the perfect over exaggerated “persona” for what I envision when thinking of the title of the album. Anyways it needs to come out soon, like yesterday. I love the bread crumbs and the fact that it isn’t snippet polooza but now it’s time to start dropping the actual detailed information! Also hate that we lost with Byron but we knew that was a possibility lol. Hoping for some announcement or info next week. Not expecting anything the remainder of this week lol!

18 likesI LOVE this video. And I also think it makes the wait a little less tedious if at all, because it all seems like one art project, including poetry (I believe Behind The Iron Gates is gonna be directly linked to this record), music and these "art" videos. Like, the era has officially started with this, it's part of it. Doesn't feel like a delay to me anymore

17 likesThe quote about nothing happening in God's world by mistake is from a story in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is on page 417 in a chapter called "ACCEPTANCE WAS THE ANSWER". AA did not invent that concept but this particular passage is often pointed out to people to help them deal with life on life's terms. "And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation—some fact of my life—unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake. Until I could accept my alcoholism, I could not stay sober; unless I accept life completely on life’s terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes."

12 likesBeen an LB lerker from Reddit but after the video was posted yesterday I had so many thoughts I needed to share! I think the Grey Gardens vibes is an aesthetic preview! I think the video was intended to be a kitschy/satirical play on that documentary (as opposed to some people saying it seemed weird/sad). Grey Gardens is about two lost cousins of Jackie Kennedy living in poverty (literally hidden in a decaying house surrounded by rich folk of the Hamptons)! She even calls Jack “Little Edie,” a person from the documentary, in one of her captions. I think it could possibly be a hint of the COTCC aesthetic, like focusing on the run-down area or decay around a nice country club (i.e. those who are only able to see the chemtrails over it and will never be invited inside). Which is maybe why she’s referencing Midwestern states like Arkansas in her sound and vibe and saying the record feels very Midwestern. It would be a throwback to her trailer park and “Queen of the Gas Station” kitschy glamor vibes !!!!! WE ARE *L I V I N G* ~ Also, singing about the people who will never be in the country club but can see the chemtrails over it kind of parallels what she‘s been saying about dying an underdog (cough cough fruitless Grammy noms), or acting the same way as other artists but not being accepted in the same way, etc (her question for the culture ideas)

12 likesNo one is happy all the time. I can be super happy one day and then super angsty the next. I can go through four of the cycles in a single day. Lana's just human. Sometimes she's happy, sometimes she's not. That's just life. And even still, she can go out with friends even if she's not at her "happiest". In regards to Violet, as a writer myself, I write about so many things: current feelings, past feelings, the feelings of others, etc. Just because she didn't seem "happy" in Violet doesn't mean that's any indication of her current state, it doesn't even 100% guarantee that was her state at the time of writing either. Just my two cents. Lana's just human and we see her humanity more now.

12 likesof course this gets released the one hour i’m busy at work. this is top tier crazy but very interesting. i do believe she’s 100% being satirical the look on her eyes when she says “crazy!? me!? no” is absolutely bonkers LMAO she’s definitely playing up a character! right after she says “it’s not like i’ve been in a facility for 90 days already. not MY story” Did nobody catch that?

12 likesAfter watching a couple more times I feel like it was all put together deliberately to give off the vibe it gives off. I didn't get it at first as I expected a normal behind the scenes of the interview type video, which it kind of is but I think it's a separate thing done on purpose. The video seems like a planned acting of like a kind of weird aloof rich person/celebrity and probably has something to do with the new album. I never thought much about it before but "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" does give the same feeling as this video, when I read that I imagine some rich conspiracy theorist who has went a little crazy. *In bath wearing clothes with cats* "Im never nervous" said in stuttering and repeated way depicting that she is "Crazy? Me... I would definitely describe myself as normal" Standing in front of screen playing obvious mental patient and doctor "It's not like I haven't been in a facility for 90 days already, not my story.... can you still see the Diamonds?" "They say madness swings to genius" Makes sense to me that her and her brother and sister planned to do it like this as some forshadowing of the style of the album.

Yes! Both trading unleaked material through LanaBoards & posting advertising on our forum to trade unleaked material elsewhere are not allowed x -
8 likesSunset Boulevard but make it sexy! I think it's very witty and this "character" is the vibe of COCC, the same way the "witchy" promo for LFL was...ok actually that didn't end up having much to do with the record, but I do think it was meant to set a vibe. So the character for COCC is a crazy cat lady, eccentric rich person, possibly mental patient (?), etc. but I think this could legit be Lana in 20 years

8 likesDon't kill me but I don't know if I like the video at all. I mean, I like it visually, but apart from the fact that it has a weird energy (I don't mean that in a bad way) I feel that sometimes I don't understand her. I see videos from the NFR era and I see her changed and different. I'm not saying for the better or worse, but I have the feeling that she's been a little bit different since the question for the culture. It's like she always looks a little bit annoyed or serious these last few months. I guess she is a complex person, and sometimes she contradicts herself a lot and I can't tell when she is talking in a satirical tone and when she is not, that's why I find it hard to understand her personality. Last year she seemed quite happy and calm, always going out with her friends and so on, even she always says she is happy, but then in violet she says certain things that may give cause to think the opposite. The same thing happened to me with this interview, I also thought she was fine this last year but suddenly she says things like: "i don't think i'm doing okay" or "sometimes i panick out of nowhere", or talks about being in an institution (even if she's joking). So what is the truth? Honestly, I see her a little differently than in the NFR era, and especially since the question of culture, so I find it hard to understand her. Anyways I don't know if this makes sense I hope I've explained myself well.

8 likesMy favourite LDR quote still to this day is something similar she said - “I believe nothing happens by mistake. You know, the universe has a divine plan.” It actually used to be my original LanaBoards signature for many years. (and it’s still in my neopets bio.) When she said the similar quote in the video, it struck me immediately. I live by that quote and always keep it in mind, especially when things don’t happen the way I hoped they would. I try to remember that even if things don’t make sense at the moment, they will one day. There’s no such thing as a mistake, just unexpected turns on a path that may lead you to something even greater x

The only sad difference in the 2 mixtapes vs. HIFN is that they didn’t get any music videos.. -

6 likesI genuinely think Lana has made it her mission to fuck with the critics and haters at this point. If there are actual mental health issues involved here then I apologise but even if there were, she has still been able to work through them and come up with this brilliant mockery I mean the critics will have no ground to stand on, whatever they say now will literally turn against them because Lana herself made fun of it, this is a work of genius people are NOT ready for this conversation
