Lana has managed to get football fans (generally homophobic or uncomfortable with homosexuality more or less openly / more or less unaware) to ask to have her sing this at the stadium when covid is over like they have no idea what they are getting themselves into - if this happens, there will be literally NO SEATS available for the straights to watch the game because all of us will have bought tickets and will be queuing outside the stadium for three days lol - they better rethink this

I just wanna say that with everything going on in the world right now, I really appreciate Lana covering this song. I’m sure all of us - whether we’re dealing with school, work, tough personal/overall life situations, and pandemic fatigue - can find some sense of comfort in hearing a voice so familiar reassure us that “at the end of the storm, there’s a golden sky”. Fun story I showed Lana's rendition to my football obsessed friend and he was so impressed with it, he became open to listen to some songs by her so I told him to just check her latest album Norman Fucking Rockwell. He did actually listen to it yesterday, he said his faves are Love Song and How To Disappear.

after school is better cause it’s not too focused on the school theme and the storyline of the movie. it’s just her feelings, so you can relate much to them too. i personally love everything she’s released so far, but after school would’ve been a perfect second album if elaborated into a full album.

heroin and the original lust for life demo definitely suit eachother because they're both very ambient and atmospheric, like floating through space, i really wish she didn't change the original concept and sound of lust for life, the witchy / spacey / folk concept was so cool
