For me, I joined Lanaboards in June of 2019. I've made some friends that I love on here. I've gotten to share my poetry and sometimes dramatic ramblings with you all. I think it will be interesting seeing how my future on Lanaboards plays out since I'm in such an important stage of my life and a stage that is constantly changing. It will be embarrassing fun to look back years from now and see my dumb teenage crush posts and cringy poems. But I'm glad I've had you here for me Lanaboards. YAY! i've been looking forward to this ever since i've realized that we were about to hit such a significant milestone! this website has been such an amazing part of my life and i'm forever grateful that i'm a member of such a loving, kind, and insightful community, i've had so much fun celebrating, laughing, talking, and shitposting with everyone here, whether we're posting a gif of mariah carey, or freaking out over a new leak, i'm having the most fun on this amazing forum!

random take - this song is so beautiful... it flows so seamlessly, doesn't even feel like it's 7 minutes long. The perfect album closer esp. after the dark, depressive, industrial sounds of the album... it's nice to end on a happyish, optimistic, high note. I've been sleeping on this whole album. I kinda wrote it off after 1- 2 listens when it first came out but I really love it after giving it a revisit. The whole era was just a mismanaged mess and a headache for any stan, it deserved a proper rollout because the base concept is so fucking cool. Justice for WAP (it deserved a bigger moment & a better video), Justice for the whole album tbh. anyways enough rambling, gonna go back to being in my feels as I blast this a bunch more times

I really really hope we actually get this album. The closer we get, the more I’m worried she’ll delay it. The only time I was ever genuinely upset about a delay was January 4th when she didn’t release Violet and only mentioned the delay that day. And the closer we get to xmas, the more I’m worried it’s gonna be a repeat of that and we won’t get the standards album and she won’t tell us til xmas day. In the back of my head, I have to tell myself it’s not coming to avoid disappointment if it really doesn’t.

Decided I should come back and give my thoughts & track ranking! The album is absolutely incredible. This is the best vocal performance she's delivered thus far. I don't understand a word of Spanish, but that doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of the album. As a writer lyrics are always important to me, so I've looked at English translations for all of the songs so I'm aware of their meaning, but just as important are the melodies. Her melodies here are gorgeous and perfect for her vocals. The production is also great and so complimentary, it's sort of a fusion of the styles from all of her other projects. She just keeps evolving and getting better and better. The only real complaint I have is that I wish some of the songs were longer, because I just didn't want them to end! Also, some of the songs would've been much better without their features, but I know Kali loves collaborating with her friends. Below is my track ranking with #1 being my favourite. Vaya con Dios is a career highlight, one of the best songs she's ever released. Truly after the top 5, it was so incredibly difficult to rank the rest because there wasn't a song I disliked. Those at the bottom of my list are still songs I enjoy and will continue to listen to.
