Hi everyone! I've very excited to announce that I've just onboarded two new moderators to our Moderator Team - @Clampigirl & @takeitdoen As I'll be largely away from the site for the next two weeks or so (and the past 4 days of my absence have proved you all are naughty and need someone to lay down the law) as well as more Chemtrails stuff approaching us, I thought now would be a good time to onboard them, so they'll be helping out with keeping the site all neat and clean. I'm very grateful for their willingness to help out LanaBoards and keep everything under control, so please give them a warm welcome to our ModSquad! xx

I love Lana's "cringey" lyrics. It's all a part of the campiness that she loves to embrace. One of my favourite things about Lana is how she can be so dark and profound while also being adorable and hilarious.

The thing is that Sophie complained about Lala not crediting her so Lala credited her and then Sophie complained that Lala didn't credit her how she wanted (in a caption). Interestingly, Sophie didn't initially say that she wanted a caption credit, just credit, which Lala did. So it just comes off as being less about the credit and more about general attention, imo. I agree that she doesn't deserve harassment, though

The girl is a liar and a huge loser too for purposely trying to create a greater sense of wrong doing and drama by stating that Lana "cropped out the watermark" when she knows that is a lie. The image Lana posted simply did not have a watermark on it - it wasn't cropped out. So embarrassing watching these losers continue to use Lana as a punching bag to harvest twitter clout

talking about "the damage has already been done. " It was..... an Instagram post. That she was tagged in. It's not like Lana profited in any way. If anything it was the other way around because it gave this beautiful young artiste exposure and the potential for more sales + commissions and made Lana look bad because she posted corny artwork.

This exactly! I like that she’s not all serious and poetic all the time and has those corny moments. They make her songs feel so much more real because none of us are profound all the time. The mix of deep and shallow lyrics is probably what makes her lyrics so appealing.

Art is still art though, and I know her work might not be for everybody but I really don't think it's fair to drag her when it's clearly something she's passionate about. Overall I'd say I'm kinda neutral with this whole situation. On one hand I do think it was over the top with the way she handled things, and how she accused Lana straight up of cropping out her watermark. I think she should have cooled off for a bit before going in for the kill - but on the other hand, I get that this can be upsetting for the artist because getting exposure means a lot to them. I've mentioned in the other thread before, but I have a lot of friends who are artists and they come to me telling me they just feel like giving up their work all together because people don't give credit The hate and insults she's getting is quite ridiculous and unfair

Her label deciding to unlock the video and make 3 dollars from her after realizing they won't make any in 2021 too
