31 likesIt's not unusual for an artist to rework songs they previously didn't use (and it's not Lana's fault that hers leaked). Most artists do that. And except for 1 or 2, said songs have been reworked entirely for this album. Just stop being so bitter over the fact that Lana isn't working with Jack on this album (also cannot believe I just had to read the words "lust for life" and "lazy" in the same sentence with my own two eyes)

26 likesLana fans are so annoying sometimes. Artists reuse and repurpose old songs all the time. You'd just never know because unlike with Lana, you don't get to hear them. The sheer amount of unreleased material of Lana's we have is insane. All of which we were never supposed to hear in the first place. So I will never be mad at Lana for going back into her incredible unreleased catalog. Also, it's clear she has intentionally chosen to include these tracks for the concept of the album - as detailed in that now gone IG post. Stop being ungrateful. Two standard albums and a spoken word album/poetry book in one year. This woman gives us more than literally any other artist.

23 likesI think that we will get a MV and some promo as well. She deactivated her social media, yes, but this doesn't mean that she's dropping the project. She said that she's here for the music so another MV/second single accompanying the release of the album will build buzz. And I think we can get a photoshoot as well as a couple of interviews as long as they focus on the album and its content. At least I hope there is a plan because she really seems genuinely proud of the record and the promotion has been unexpectedly strong. Hopefully her decision to lead a more quiet life away from social media will make people pay attention to the actual work. This is what Lana always wanted after all. The more I think about it, the more I feel that this has always been part of the plan. This is her revenge in a way: she's making her most personal album to date, deactivates her accounts as a "fuck you" to the media, and tells her story without filter or certain expectations. The way she dropped the three pre-singles; the way the Arcadia MV culminates into the iconic middle finger part. Everything makes sense now. And given the circumstances, the lyrics of the four officially released tracks become even more revealing - without losing their mystery! - and disturbing. I'm even more excited about the way she's constructed this album and the meaning behind every track.

hey yall i've been just as intrigued as most of u and i decided to do a quick lenormand reading for this situation and i want to share it with u all : 1. Why is Lana deactivating her socials? Letter+Cloud+Mountain+Scythe - Anchor+Tree+Star So starting with letter (communication) and clouds (no clarity) it seems that her message came across as confusing or unclear on the specific underlying issue. Clouds cover the clear sky and if they are covering the letter then indeed she is covering some stuff. There are lots of misunderstandings about the why of the deactivation. The mountain is a blockage/stop and could lead to the silence in communication (letter+mountain) so these first cards kind of show the general situation. After the stop (mountain) there is the actual cut off (scythe). So: To be completely stuck in a problematic, confused situation. There is a possible secret no one talks about. To sum things up (for someone else); to state clearly what's what. To inform someone about a conclusion one has made / to be informed about a final result. The why: Ancor+Tree+Star - especially because the scythe continues with the anchor, she is ending the status quo; cutting off one's fetters; to abruptly untangle herself from restraints (anchor). This seems like a well-deserved or self-caused hold-up/break from boring routine or from something that was stopping her from doing what she wanted to grow (tree) related to her celebrity status (star, the last). But anchor+tree could also mean focusing on health or just taking a break in nature to feel a very strong sentiment of safety and stability. Routines (or pauses) dictated by one's nature (e.g. sleeping cycle). Stopping, pausing, helps to replenish one's energy reserves. The tree and star together are interesting because its exactly the contradiction: pragmatical, materialistic world view, and an esoteric, spiritual one. She might want to find a balance between health/body and spirit. In short: I think there is something that did not allow her to grow as much as she wanted in a specific direction (mountain), so she cut if off (scythe), because it was weighing her down (anchor) and she could not grow (tree) in the direction she wants to as a star but also the star is about hopes so she might have other dreams and wishes. Also just really taking a break. I believe she communicated with us in a confusing way (letter+clouds) and we cant see everything about it but i really dont think this is a bad situation. With the tree, I think she wants to be a down to earth person and live more modest and peacefully X -

18 likesI’m a little late to the party (been pretty sick), but I’m honestly glad Lana is taking a break from social media even if it means our Blue Banisters news is limited. Without going into details, the words following “Lana Del Rey” when typed into things like Twitter are downright awful, and it’s disappointing seeing how normalized things like bodyshaming are. I probably would have deactivated long before this if I were her I could be wrong, but insiders seem to have known when Lana will post Blue Banisters updates beforehand, and I think this may have something to do with accessing her data on apps like Instagram. Related to the new record coming out, I think it will only add to the element of surprise! I think it will make the Blue Banisters era (and consequent eras) all the more special, and it will definitely keep us on our toes as potential music videos roll out!

She really is getting a deeper form of revenge than we thought with this album. When she first announced it I was expecting something angry, but instead she's telling her story in a really open and honest way, and then retreating from the public before the album is even out. It's heartbreaking revenge and critics will have a harder time trashing her in this new context, without looking even crueler and stupider than they already do. Lana is one of the greatest artists of all time (the greatest in my opinion, but I know that's subjective) but so much of the conversation around her is about unfair bullshit that's taken out of context and always paints her in a negative light. Most people who don't listen to her don't even have the slightest clue of the level of talent she has, because they wrote her off years ago before giving her a chance. It's so annoying when I mention Lana in certain settings and I can just feel the energy in the conversation shift as if people think it's problematic to love her. I don't understand how anyone can call this move dramatic on her part, it makes perfect sense and has been a long time coming. All we can really hope for is that her art does became the focus the way it always should have been, although even if it doesn't in the immediate future, there is no doubt that long beyond her time she will be regarded as a complete legend. -

It's not like Lana is completely sworn off Instagram, her finsta account is alive and breathing. I'm pretty sure it gained more posts on the day she deactivated (not 100% sure so don't hold me to it). I think one of the things Lana has struggled with from her public Instagram is feeling the need to say something political like all the other celebs, and if she doesn't then people are like "why hasn't she said anything about [........]"? Instagram isn't for posting cute pics anymore unfortunately, and everyone expects you to write fake woke essays that pertain to the next trendy news story that's floating around. I can see how this factor could deter Lana from using her public acc. At least with her finsta, no one is watching her like a hawk ready to pounce. -

“cant she just stop posting” “can’t she just delete the app” “can’t she just handle her socials to her management” these comments are so stupid her decision is 100% logical, just imagine the pressure of having +20m following on the internet. And your way of thinking is 100% egoistic. -

16 likesthe four singles are really, really good, and are completely devoid of the muffled, watered-down tone the songs Jack produced had, but to me, text book really stands out. it's actually such a serene song, it has this vibe of accepting exactly how sad one's own past was, the ways in which it shapes one's present, but such honesty leads to a hopeful, appeased outlook on things. it means healing thanks to some people you meet along the way, whom you can open up to, who will bring you the things you couldn't find yourself. the lyrics from the chorus, when she speaks of her family to her lover, although seemingly somewhat incoherent, break my heart everytime. the melody and production are gorgeous and fit the theme perfectly.

15 likesFirst of all: Honey, do you even know Lust for Life is a goddamn 1 hour 12 minutes holy experience with more than 4 tracks >= 5 mins length? - therefore one of her longest era to date! Do you even know Lust for Life is her only era that she went out there and serve more music genres than any other eras - even the god-tier Honeymoon? Do you have any idea how many sounds barrier & prejudice about her artistry that us stans & the gp always perceive she broke with this era? Do you even aware this album can be considered as a pop, a trap/hiphop, an alternative, a folk album at the same time? You saying she "throwing the bone to the fans who are craving for old Lana" makes no sense at all. Why is Lana using her own untouched/unused/unreleased material getting on your nerves that much when WE WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO HEAR OR ACKNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEIR EXISTENCE, how many times do i have to remind you people? Even if she was actually lazy, you can't take away the fact that she ACTUALLY wrote these - herself, recorded them and kept them as drafts, save them for the right time & until the right amount of inspiration kicks in - that's what anybody who wrote/compose their own stuff ALWAYS do. It's called 'unreleased' for a damn reason baby. I'm not an agressive person, mostly here for the news and the fun Lana jokes with the stans but i tolerate NO L4L SLANDER. Do not let me see ur dragging my baby like that. Lazy? maybe that's ur thoughts, how about streaming Heroin to have your brain flying to the moon again?

13 likesi think lana should've chosen to drop social media after BB comes out. there must've been something that made her change so sudden. it just feels like everyone's hype decreased a tiny bit and i feel the same. i'm still super excited for this album. i cant wait. but it's still sad knowing no news will really follow the release. i wish we'd get one more music video after.

Her goodbye video was simultaneously so sweet and so heartbreaking It's really not that surprising with the way she is treated by people, but it's sad that she's been pushed to the point of not wanting to share her life with us anymore. I hope this decision brings her some peace of mind and a disconnect from the toxicity of the internet and the cruelty so many people throw her way. Thank goodness she re-assured us that her art isn't going anywhere, I can't wait for all the wonderful things she has in store for us They built me up three hundred feet tall just to tear me down So I'm leavin' with nothing but laughter, and this town Arcadia Findin' my way to ya I'm leavin' them as I was, five foot eight Western bound, plus the hate that they gave By the way, thanks for that, on the way, I'll pray for ya But you'll need a miracle America -
