Last night, Lana Del Rey joined Nikki Lane onstage at The Continental Club in Austin, Texas for duets of 'Breaking Up Slowly' and 'Look Away'

Waking up to dozens of mentions had me Sitting here for 15 minutes just to write that one sentence okay lemme get a grip for a sec On behalf of everyone from Leftcheek & Filler Co. ................ Thing is, I had been planning my entrance since the day I got nominated and had been working on a lil song-y song to perform Yes,,, I know my official job position was to take the coats from everyone but I also wanted to have fun!!!! Unfortunately,,,,,, I didn't get the Google Calendar notification that the event had been scheduled for 4:30 ET so I arrived at 1:45 (ET). SO while I was warming up and getting over my stage freight... I was attacked by a bee!!! Yes.... tragjic I know! My manager was live on IG when the incident occured.. see for yourself... Also, I think ppl are/would get tired if every time I make a post, it's formatted like this. I arrive a little late for the contest but congratulations to those who won. I have to say this is the coolest forum ever, most of you are so nice and passionate. Thank you for all the effort you put into the news and the immense work behind each subject to honor Lana and the other artists, and to discover others, I could take whole days for read, it's so interesting. Today, on a whim, I decided to do something that would, to an extent, immortalize or make this year's event harder to forget -- or whatever you want to call it -- by 3D modeling a trophy for all the winners (and runner-ups if they requested one.) However, once I got to rendering, I realized that this project of mine was too ambitious Here is what the award looks like: I had over-estimated how long a 10 second, 30 fps animation would take to render. It took ~15 seconds a frame, meaning: 15x300 = 4500 seconds = 75 minutes So now I do not know what to do I wouldn't say I've given up, but I definitely cannot make one award for everyone inc runner-ups Edit: did a few things differently so I think I can make it work Just need to do another render Edit 2: each frame renders for 3.50 seconds now so me thinks this is doable now Edit 3: it takes ~10 minutes per render. Epic gamer moment I guess I'm doing this huh

I really hope it's gonna mainly be Mike Dean but I feel like Drew Erickson's probs gonna be the main producer

I love seeing Lana perform with Nikki. I adore Breaking Up Slowly in general, but she always looks like she's having a great time performing for a small, unexpecting crowd. I wish my friend who used to live in Austin still lived there so I could go visit again and catch a show skkkk x It's one of Nikki's songs, and they also performed it together during a few shows at the NFR tour! x

I love that Lana gets to fulfill her quiet-life-of-a-lounge-singer dreams through her friend, it’s cool be able to play small venues at all like that to remind you of where you started not every big star would logistically or safely be able to do that

this just in (i heard from a vErY gOoD sOuRcE) that lAnA dEl rEy is going cOuNtRy & WeStErN full time. Watercolor eyes is her last lana song. From now on she will be one part of Nikki, May and The Tambourine Jamboree. They will be touring the south and west exclusively and only releasing compilation albums. Congrats to the ladies and can't wait to buy my ticket when they come to Melbourne

To be honest, if somebody tried to capture my very personal, autobiographical art in a way that I felt didn’t do it justice, I’d say something like that too Diplomatic queen!

It looked like she changed the name to appear more mainstream as a solo artist (to not look like it’s a band anymore) and look more like a classic pop star but it literally made looking up for news, her music and concert dates a lot harder. Usually when I’m looking for something Marina-related I still have to type “and the diamonds” with whatever I’m typing. Her full name - Marina Diamandis - would be a much better choice. It would still be similar enough to the Diamonds part and it’d also give her some kind of uniqueness - Diamandis is such a pretty last name.

I still think she doesn't get enough credit for her songwriting. Like, over the last 3 years we've had some amazing albums and multiple career highs. And she seems to only be getting better with Blue Banisters and Watercolor Eyes! If you look at the amount of music we've gotten in just over 2 years, and the quality overall. There's nobody else doing it like her and she doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon... I wouldn't be surprised if we get more new music throughout this year and personally I can't wait. I've put a list of the songs I'm talking about above, below. And wow, that's only half her discography.
