14 likesI don't know if anyone has mentioned this here, but Rob said in the interview with People magazine that a song called "Sunshine" did not make the final tracklist for Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd nor the track listing for Lost at Sea, but he intends to use the track in a future project. On her story. This piece seems to be filled with little Lanaisms such as her iconic “I am my soulmate” tweet, the “campfire smoke” reference to how she stated Chuck would describe her in her poem My Bedroom is a Sacred Place Now, and words she frequently uses in her songs such as blue, crazy, honey queen, free, dance x -

12 likesSo apparently Rob and Lana made a song called Sunshine for Ocean Blvd (or Lost At Sea) but it was scrapped but he said it's probably going to end up in the next project I have to read the whole thing to see the context cause I only saw a couple of tweets but it's funny how we already know about 2 Ocean outtakes

I'm actually really glad she owns her art and has a say in everything they do regarding her brand. -

9 likesThe entire album is beautiful, except, for me, 'The Mermaids' Lullbye,' but it may grow on me. He's very talented, and the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. I hope the album is enough of a success that he's able to do another. My mother played the piano her entire life, could play anything after hearing it once, and composed her own songs very similar to these, so this sort of music has special meaning for me. I have a 'Pure Mood' playlist, where all of these will go. Placing 'Hollywood Bowl' at the end was the right move.

Lana likely makes $20M / year with Spotify royalties alone -
7 likesToday, Lana Del Rey attended her father Rob Grant's album release party held at Interscope Records headquarters in Santa Monica, California. Rob's new album Lost at Sea will be released at midnight. To the event, Lana wore an LDR Village - Rear View hoodie and accessorised with her signature red/orange Chanel backpack, Flum Gio - Juicy Apple vape, and a new set of brown square acrylics.

7 likesNot through the full album yet but I love it. I'm glad I supported it by buying so many copies, lol. I might even get the vinyl, too. Listening to it here in a warm room with the wind coming through the open windows, I feel like being close to the sea. Feels like holidays. Great they "used" Lana to promote this, surely wouldn't have bought the album otherwise. And the physical items I received so far are really worth the money, as they are made with a lot of love and are of high quality. (Absolutely adore Hollywood Bowl. UV/Honeymoon vibes. Added both new tracks to my yes to heaven vinyl tracklist now. They have got something very religious about them and fit the UV style of the compilation.)

Lana owning her masters

Rarely discussed but something I'd like to talk about is Lana owning her master recording rights and licensing them to Interscope/Polydor for her entire career... Lana Ben and Ed were truly each other's dream team and special credit to them for buying her out of her old label and getting the rights to AKA because it seemed to teach her an important lesson when she signed with Interscope...I'd just like to bask in her win It also makes me wonder about the resulting wealth that comes from owning those recordings AND having songwriting publishing rights...especially when she can still do 87,000 US pure sales in debut week in 2023 and 58,500 of those were $40 vinyls...the royalties have to be insane She's backed off the gaudy displays of wealth in recent years but even just a quick look at her real estate portfolio (neighborhood names withheld) shows she's doing quite nicely and I imagine there's a nice lump sum of cash she hasn't spent Compound Homes Lots 1&2 - purchase price $5.87 million High by the Beach House - sold for $3.2 million Tudor style house - purchase price $2.5 million Vintage cabin - purchase price $1.17 million Anyways thoughts or speculations on either point welcome -

1. import both the song and the instrumental into audacity 2. set them up so they start at the EXACT same time (like i mean exact, it needs to be as close to perfect as humanly possible) 3. select the instrumental, then select effects > invert 4. now do a test play, if you did it right, you should only hear the difference between the two files (aka the vocals). its not going to be perfect, but it gets you about 80-90% of the way to a studio acapella 5. select both audio tracks, then select tracks > mix > mix and render to new track 6. delete the song and the instrumental, leaving you with the mostly studio acapella, and export it 7. go to vocalremover.org and go to the splitter (this will use ai to remove almost all of the remaining instrumental bits of the file) 8. import your acapella file and wait for it to process 9. do another test play, turning the vocal track all the way up and the music, drum, and bass tracks all the way down 10. click save, and select the vocal did i need to type this in here? no, but i wanted to -

6 likespink champagne feels SO out of place in this clip and it's just so weird to hear something that feels so niche that only hardcore lana fans would know on a random TV show
-
6 likesI left a comment on their instagram and I honestly didn't think they would reply, but they did. It sounded like they're still planning to release the fan arts as merch. Which sounds promising, if they really mean it, I honestly started to believe it had all been forgotten considering the winners were announced 7 months ago and there hasn't been a second part to the contest (yet).

we went from 'angry' pop AI to cyberpunk techno to club edm, i fear the next step is pure ambient and space whales moans to complete silence for 2 hours and raw sounds of nature which leads to garageband samples and her rediscovering synths and holes in the roads making it a whole cycle starting with geidi primes II out january 2030 -
