people see some pastel colors and assume it's a baby aesthetic lmao she's basically a stripper in the bakery music video

y'all keep acting as if your hearts wouldn't lodge in your throats and prevent you from speaking coherently in her presence

my copy arrived today! it's beautiful. i think it was such a lovely idea to include the reader to write their own poetry at the end there as well, i think i may write a few things when the time is right. it just makes the book that much more personal, to have your own thoughts upon the same pages as the author. i will cherish this book forever. <3

'Sad Girl' will forever be one of her most underrated songs. This song has so much bravado and I live for its bluesy atmosphere. I've said it on another thread on here before, but had it not been for 'Pretty When You Cry', I think that this moment would've been the album's climax. Most definitely her most intense bridge!

When I met Lana, after a concert, I was with my gf and she was the one who spoke my name when Lana asked, because I went on the moon and came back.

Ok girl but you still haven't explained what's so ''childish'' and ''baby-themed'' about this EP

I really hope she finds a new producer. I’ve always liked her and LOVED Crybaby but her music has lost its color. Her vocals are great and I don’t even mind the repetitive themes, I just can’t get into these bland instrumentals she’s been serving since K-12

i’m excited for her next project i’m hoping MM3 will drift away from the baby/child themes and go more into this angel/astrology concept people have been speculating about

The only thing related to that on this EP is the title and the cover artwork. The song's themselves, lyrically, are very mature and personal to Melanie. It's also very disrespectful of you to tell an artist they should stop doing something that inspires them and makes them happy all for your liking. I understand if you don't like it, that your opinion and that's okay, but Melanie can do as she wants. This is who she is and the art and music she wants to make. If you can't accept that then please find someone else's music to complain about because it's obvious Melanie isn't worth your time. Much love x.

But I still don't get how this EP is children or baby themed. Like aside from 2 school themed song titles and the EP title I guess, the EP is grown up and mature in lyrics and production. She said herself that the songs are about Melanie herself instead of the Cry Baby character.

high by the beach. i know it’s like the most streamed song off honeymoon but it’s such an underrated single by her and i feel like a lot of people dislike it :/ ... that song was the ultimate turning point in lana’s sound and image, up until that point in her career she played the role of the submissive good girl tainted by bad boys and that’s all the gp saw her as but for the first time we see her assert herself in a new light of not needing a man or his money. “you can be a bad motherfucker but that don’t make you a man” is one of her strongest lines ever. the song also has so many little details that make it phenomenal like the reuse of old lyrics and completely switching the meaning of them, the haunting organ and sound of waves in the background.. chilling.

tbh she’s one of the more successful alt pop artists idk about her streaming numbers but her music videos and official audios get great views

cause streaming gives you money and you need money to make the visuals.....anyway

I broke my lana fast for this song and I’m glad I did. I feel it’s totally underrated in her catalogue. Perhaps THE most cinematic song she’s produced. It’s so hypnotic. The vocal performance, my GOD. we are not gonna pretend this isn’t one of her most iconic performances it’s so honeymoon ultraviolence fusion its so perfect:

I went to two of her concerts and in one I was lucky enough to take a picture with her and she signed my vinyl Ultraviolence. And when she approached me, I even unlearned how to speak. So, I think I understand people who don't ask questions when they find her. She's even more beautiful up close.

I received my copy of book this afternoon and just finished reading it a few hours ago. I found it as interesting as her music, quite sentimental and genuine. Some poems (and especially the haikus) gave me a feeling of sadness and loneliness. A slight tightening in the chest. And when a book evokes feelings it's because the author caught you. Lana got me! The guy who likes suspense and horror books reading poetry lol Looking forward to the second book.

I remember when I got M&G tickets to the artRAVE in 2014, and I got to have my 20-30 seconds with Gaga - and I think the only thing I managed to say was, "I love you so much, can I have a hug?" (because she went in for a fist bump at first ) And, "thank you, they're from the costume shop" when she complimented my fishnets. This was right as I was beginning to unstan Gaga and just live my life as a reycist, too, so I couldn't even imagine what meeting Lana would be like for me. I'd have a complete mental breakdown.

The title track of Honeymoon! I feel like people don’t really talk about it that much nowadays and when it came out I remember people dismissed it as “boring” because it was “slow” and “sparse” but I think it’s a song where her vocals shine and her extra-layered harmonies in the chorus paired with the sweeping strings and plucked guitar chords are so atmospheric! Musical heaven and masterful lyricism at its finest. I think it’s definitely one of her top 5 best songs of all time and that whole record is a career highlight!

I think she mentioned once during the LFL era that she thought of removing her tattoos.

that’s surprising. There’s a video of her speaking to fans. One says they’ll get her autograph done, she says something like ‘no don’t! I hate mine’

Well how is she gonna get money for it, the label needs to see if they will profit from shooting and releasing a video by determining if there is enough hype behind the song and if visuals can boost sales and streams. Then they will fund it. Don't tell me you think she pays for all of this herself. Doubt it, every song seems to be self-contained
