29 likesFriday 4:25pm thoughts: 1. The cover is black and white which gives me hope for Wizard of Oz themes 2. The song is very emotive and for me, that's what's most impressive about it. You can't learn how to do that; it's inherent. 3. I think the opening line is possibly "small talk" from when she met the subject. "I come from a small town, how 'bout you?" 4. The repetition of "let me" makes me think that this ties into the toxic masculinity she talked about experiencing, which incidentally was in the same interview in which she mentioned LMLYLAW, iirc. The wording suggests that the subject perhaps withheld his affection and/or rejected hers. "Let me hold you like a baby" - in other words, she wants him to allow himself to be vulnerable. 5. "Doesn't mean songs and poems" perhaps the relationship was heavily impacted by her fame and career, so she's telling him she's more than just her work and if they move away she can have a life that isn't dominated by it. 6. I feel like the echoes and layering reflect the vastness of the distances she's singing about, that she feels both in the relationship and geographically. 7. In closing,

19 likesI really think you should let go of the image that you have built of Lana a little bit. I feel that she finally found herself artistically, in her poetry and her way of telling stories, also through books or music. her choosing to make her own clips, single covers and etc. reflect that she is really committed to doing things her way. and I feel that anyone who can’t accept that maybe should choose another artist as their favorite instead of being put some negativity in her job!

14 likesOh uh the spoiler police is here. Cry me a river. There's a contact page for the website that shared this info if you'd like to bully them about "spoiling" releases as well. Don't click, don't open, don't read! Anyways this is the article https://www.readdork.com/news/lana-del-rey-single-let-me-love-you-like-a-woman I believe the website is based in the UK so I expect 5pm UK time

13 likesI think LMLYLAW was the first taste of the female fragility she was talking about in the QFTC and the “it’ll be a topic I touch on in my new album and upcoming poetry”. The “I want you to come, I know I’ll be fine but I won’t have as much fun without you, I need you” kind of ideology about this person

12 likesI listened to it like 10 times before going to bed and the first thing I did waking up was listen to it again on repeat... she did it! It’s a very simple song apparently, but it hides a lot of tiny details and layers that requires multiple listens to be discovered and fully appreciated! If you didn’t like at first listen (not my case tho) give it another try, it’s definitely a grower! On a side note, I feel like sonically it would fit between MAC and VB and I love it ‘cause those are discography highlights.

12 likesYall I just listened with headphones for the first time and wow. Its truly an experience. The reverb on her backing vocals when she sings “Let me love you like a woman” and then the clean fronting vocals on “let me hold you like a baby” is so good. And the drum, so simply, yet such a small impact that the song doesn’t sound or feel empty. I bet this is the second to last song on the record leading into something else before the end of the album. Ughhhhhhhhhh so fucking good I love it

11 likesgood morning! ok finally got to listen to LMLYLAW with earphones - a much much nicer and more enjoyable experience! all the subtleties are much more present. i honestly just wish the lyrics were stronger since the production is so stripped back, but they lowkey sound like something a fake insider would write im so sorry can't help but feel like we'd all laugh at the "talk about the good old days / get high on pink champagne" lines

Clayton also retweeted her announcement today with the art palette emoji "?" and it is now deleted... he also commented the star emoji on the video today so it is weird his insta is deactivated/paused and his tweet is now gone... S*an keeps liking all her insta posts and liked one of her tweets from yesterday, I wonder if se*n being in the LMLYLAW video pissed Clayton off or something YIKES... im so tired of s*an though to be quite honest.
