28 likesI feel like this has been the most emotionally and mentally distant she has been from a record before it's even been released Wonder if it's because it's mostly songs written while she was with Sean Or she really just believes she hasn't gotten it right this time Not complaining, just an observation

24 likesIf you like Hayley's cover then please give it a like or rt on Twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/hayleymarymusic/status/1362545969481441283 It's very difficult for Australian artists to gain visibility rn because Mark Zuckerberg is being a dick and has deleted many Australian fb pages over a government dispute.

23 likesExactly my thoughts. The last time she sounded so uncomfortable with an album was Ultraviolence; does it mean she doesn't love it? Of course not, but she knew she went "too far" with the lyrics and topics. And now it's happening again. Something happened in 2019-2020 that made her so angry and retrospective about topics that she (probably?) thought were long gone.

23 likesjust realized something cool. She describes the closing track of lust for life, "get free" as moving out of the black, aka depression, and into the blue, which she said represents nature, namely the ocean. Then NFR, the following album is basically an album celebrating the west coast and cali is soooo known for its beachy ocean vibes. the closing track on NFR is hope is a dangerous thing, and that song sort of reflects on her past, and is more somber, a much different tone than the rest of NFR, sort of like bringing it to a close and talking about not fitting in with the rich folk etc, and then the first track on Chemtrails is White Dress which all about her past and really sad, like picking up on the same note Hope left off on. Then from what we know the album takes off into a journey across wild terrain and leaving LA! so cool how it connects

23 likesI have a feeling that this will be the most polarizing (in a good way) record in the sense that there won't be a huge agreement on the three best songs on the album like there were in the past each song is going to have its little cult the White Dress Waitresses the Chemtrails Conspirators the Tulsa Jesus Tits the Wild at Heart Westerners (Bro) the Dark But Just a Game Delinquents the Yosemite Cult the Dance Til We Die Druggies

20 likesSince reading the MOJO interview, it kind of explains to me why she's been distant with this release. I feel like COTCC legit makes her feel uncomfortable to listen. Maybe there's a lot of truth in the album. The fact that she added Yosemite after saying that she wasn't there yet with LFL maybe make her feel uncomfortable because she's realized that she is still not there yet? Based off of her interviews, she sounds like she's more angry than happy. Idk. Just my thoughts on the matter. It could be that this album is calling herself out, and it's difficult to confront.

16 likesNo offence to ari but she is very much a streams artist and she’s very active and her management at the very least seems obsessed with sales. Lana is pretty lazy and also hasn’t released a deluxe version since UV so it’s just unrealistic edit to add: the fact she hasn’t started working on a new album and that she has at least two outtakes that MAY have been because of vinyl pressing limitations.. I wouldn’t be surprised if she released a deluxe version to appease her label if she doesn’t really want to make anything new atm

15 likesI really think her (for a lack of better word) disinterest for this record is because it isn’t what she wanted. She said in Interview magazine that it didn’t reach where she wanted to go and then again in Anne’s show she mentioned that Jack still hasn’t been available so the ‘destination’ is TBC She held on to the album as long as she could before (probably) being told it was time to submit the record (so the label can get money) and being the perfectionist she is, it probably doesn’t sit right with her to release an album she isn’t fully behind
