So i just made the vinyl variants based on everysong from the album (if Lana's team decided to murder the vinyl market) - with the color tone that i feel when i listen to each of them (for the unknown tracks are colors i based on the titles from my perspective as well). Mostly translucent. Cos I love translucent.

I think this line is often misinterpreted. She's only citing a contemporary event. Citing is an important part of her artwork, recently I've read an interesting essay about it (in german).

“You touched the detriment most of the friends I knew already had.” Def think it’s “touch;” not “dodge.” To me, this implies that a lot of life’s personal meaning for Lana has been found through her friendships. Her issues with her mother and father (the detriment) have been somewhat patched up by strong platonic sisterhoods (like the ones she sings about on BB). But she’s never had a ROMANTIC encounter touch this part of her soul; and so she’s saying this man (who I’m assuming is Sean) helped her “right” some of the wrongs of both her own past AND symbolically her father’s— hence the “let’s rewrite history” lyric. “Detriment” means a state of harm due to lack of necessities. She had a lack of strong parental figures. Her sisterhoods helped to patch up the issues with her mom— but the lack of a strong father figure is what Sean “touched upon”

To me, from Norman and on, it seems like there has been a brand new Lana - a timeless music maker Goddess. Arcadia is awfully wonderful. Text Book is the perfect opener. Blue Banisters ages like fine wine and Wildflower Wildfire still makes me wanting to fall in love. I am so thrilled about this being her best yet... it will terminate me, I already know that. But at least it will be peaceful, like a bittersweet death lol Thanks Lana

just because she deactivated and doesn’t promote it publicly doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about her hard work. i’d also be sick and tired of being on social media and of publicly promoting my work if i got shit for my art and for every step i took by the media and bored teenagers on stan twitter who chronically live online. praying the album doesn’t leak.

some of her new songs are becoming too wordy for me. she's a great songwriter and i acknowledge how much she's improved (though she's always been great) but sometimes it feels like she's putting too much together and it breaks the flow of the melody. for instance "all roads that lead to you as integral to me as arteries, that pump the blood that flows straight to the heart of me" is beautiful, but it doesn't run very well

To me, Lana’s songs aren’t really sad or depressing the way people make them seem. They are thoughtful and contemplative, and they definitely elicit an emotional listening response, but I think everyone conflates sadness and reflection. I’m never put into a “depressive mood” when I listen to Lana — if anything, I feel uplifted and understood!

i think that's a valid way to deal with it tbh, a lot of people leave social media because of it's toxicity and most of the times it makes them feel better. i understand where you're coming from but not everyone can build a shell or turn into IDGAF mode to not care about criticism. if some friends of mine criticize me or my work and end up getting into my mental health (and this has happened to me before), i don't just deal with it and find a way to not care about it, i cut them out of my life temporarily or permanently
