She did say that she thought NFR was going to end up in one of two directions in an interview with 107.7 The End in Seattle on October 2, 2019 — it was either going to be “hip-hop girl-group” or “singer-songwriter-ish” but “in the end, there were just more songs like [the latter]”. And she compared the “hip-hop girl-group” sound to the title track of LFL, so, I wonder if this next record, including Loved You Then and Now/Rock Candy Sweet, is in that vein.

So Lana was basically making 3 albums during NFR? The bombastic Jack album is the new TLSP record

i’m so curious what happened to ‘rock candy sweet’ , it’s such a genius album title……. but also much to live up to, like it clearly has to be a genius song/title track lyrically & musically

Manifesting a Honeymoon and early LFL lovechild for the next album. Full jazz with some synthy, soft pop elements. Some classic rock elements thrown in could be cool too. It'll be fun to see what Lana does next, seeing her hinting at things that are part of the project (DNC jacket) makes it so much fun to look forward to. I love it when Lana's vocal and excited about the work she's putting out, it makes everything so much better

I’m honestly shocked she hasn’t given any details away other than she has a few songs she loves and she thinks it’s better than BB

If LDR9 serves moments that makes me feel like: - Venice Bitch - Black Bathing Suit - White Dress - Heroin - Brooklyn Baby - The greatest - Dealer - Ride - Bel Air - Honeymoon - Off to the Races - Swan Song I swear this will be her magnum opus, her golden era. Her BTD 2.0 of this new decade.

? Its not a crazy hyper album, but Homemade dynamite, Sober II, sober, Hard feelings, Supercut, Green light, etc were pretty in-your-face. I think people may be forgetting Jack is behind a lot of party pop stuff like We are young, Some nights and a bunch of Taylor’s popular songs, not just the toned down stuff we’ve seen as of recent.

Idk if I remember well but Lana recorded some hip-hop girlsbands inspired songs to NFR. And probaly that was one of scrapped concepts. Maybe that's why Jack, Mike and maybe Emile are involved.

Might be way off but I have a feeling LA Who Am I (the 2018 song) will be on this album, and that will be the general sound After mentioning wanting to collab with Migos (), Interlude/Trio, and Jack saying the songs stood out differently from NFR and COCC sessions, I would not be surprised if we get a project in the realm of that sound If that happens, I'm 100% sure Mike Dean will be back as well

anybody who's said this HAS NOT listened to her music, & i seriously believe that, there's no way you could actually delve into your discography & think that all of her music sounds the same, people also say that because they're all "sad" or they're all about the same things (which also isn't true) even though a lot of other singers are the exact same way, they have a certain style of music & they sing about a lot of the same things, it's just another thing they say to criticize her

Beautiful contains the most satisfying verse to sing along to on the album: "Let me show you how sadness can turn into happiness I can turn blue into something" The way that line descends and just LANDS. The first time I got it right I was stoked! Also it's the mission statement of the whole album hello.

Well lana went into jack thinking they were gonna make pop sounding things since he was known for his upbeat sound, and then got surprised when he got on the piano instead, so I’m sure they experimented a bit with that bombastic melodrama-y side

One of the worst criticisms I’ve ever heard about Lana’s music is that “it all sounds the same.” I honestly can’t imagine any song from UV being on Honeymoon and those albums were like a year apart. I feel like all her albums are super different from one another in the production and meaning. I get she has some recurring phrases and imagery but like.. Lust For Life and Chemtrails sound the same? Cmon now Edit: Now realizing this is the unpopular opinions thread. Probably not unpopular sorry

Now I finally understand why she publishes poetry books. She has too many ideas that she can't put them all into songs. Maybe many of the poems in "Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass" were meant to be songs, like LA Who Am I (to Love You) That's why we have also so many unreleased songs. And now again, a lot of great scrapped songs that we don't know yet. She's so super creative!

the way that we all know 2022 will be nothing different from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and we can't do nothing about it.
