8 likeshonestly i could see upcoming album as her album highlight that could take everybodys eyes away from looking up to nfr all the time aesthetics shes been teasing us with on w magazine are very promising. psychedelic vibe and the whole shoot is amazing like what the fuck!!! the fact that she said that her thoughts are so black/white and now we have a whole shoot in b&w... she is angry and conversational. she says whatever she wants to say and she doesnt give any fucks. and dont forget about this part.. orchestra. raw. automatic singing. cerebral. Lana Del Rey is back at her roots

7 likesI've been so bored on winter break that I started reading a thesis on Lana's celebrity status. It's super interesting and made me want to take my Music subject at the teacher-training college I go to so I can write about her but like... I will be teaching English to elementary school children... Me to my students: when she says my pussy tastes like Pepsi cola she's referencing the American dream by putting herself in the light of consuming...

7 likesI love how Lana's music goes viral on Tiktok every single month and how her older music is nowhere near irrelevant even years later. She doesn't need scandals nor marketing strategies for people to listen to her. There was also a trend among my IG friends to post a story with 6 favorite artists/bands and I swear that 9/10 people had Lana. She's already starting to become timeless. I feel like song like Ride came out 4 years ago while it was released the same year as Starships and Call Me Maybe. The other two songs are only listened for the sake of nostalgia by millennials and older gen z while Ride is regularly listened by new younger fans.

Manifesting the album tomorrow -
6 likesUPDATE So I'm thinking we could start submitting books now, start a vote this Sunday (August 14), if that works out for everyone? Once we start, we can then meet back every Sunday to this thread to discuss what we've read? We can also come back any time in between still too, obviously, but Sunday would be the days we'd come back and talk about the part we read? OOOO AND I CAN MAKE A SPOILER LIST AT THE TOP OF THE THREAD ABOUT EACH BOOK that'd be so cute Also, I think a fair way to do it is to have a submission box/open requests form that'll stay open on the main post and what I'll do is when we have a large selection of titles (ten or more), I'll put them all into a randomizer, the first six chosen will be part of the vote and then we'll do a new vote every time we finish a book? If the book you request doesn't get chosen, it'll stay in the pool to be chosen another time! And all the books that don't "win" will still get a chance to be read too, they'll stay in too. That way we'll eventually get through the books everyone is interested in. And even if you choose not to participate and want to read a different book, that's fine too, I'd just be happy to know someone is reading something <3 my feelings won't be hurt at all lol but this seems like a fun way for people to participate. Also, remember, there are ways to get books for free if you can't afford them or can't get to a library (libgen) check Reddit for the links/directions on how to navigate it (i'm a frequent flyer of that website ) Link to the book submission This will also be added to the first post too, just to make sure it's findable I'd like to have a horror/thriller theme for October if that's possible lol but who knows what'll get picked. When we're in between books, we'll do voting then, it'll start the Sunday we finish and end the following Sunday, then start the next Sunday so that way it gives people a week to find the book/buy/borrow from libraries and start it. IIf more time is needed or less time, let me know and we can figure it out. I'm just making this up as I go, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated my favorite part about this is I've gotten 10 submissions already on the original quiz, which means there's 10 actual people who want to do this with me and i can't believe it <3 thank you guys for being interested and doing this, i think this'll be a fun thing, especially while we wait for LDR9 and then LDR10, etc. I wanna keep the book club going for as long as we can. Eventually, after the first couple of books, if we've been reading too much maybe we can take a few weeks of a break, then come back and start a new book or something? That was kinda why I thought 2 weeks between ending a book, voting and starting one seems fair but idk. Please give feedback!!!!

5 likesCome one, come all, to this tragic affair! We're starting a book club! So, I'm going to post a survey each time we finish a book and we'll pick the next one!! Maybe we'll do like 50-100 pages per week, I don't want to exclude anyone if they read slower than someone else. Also, there's a good source for ebooks if you can't afford to buy books or don't live near a library (libgen), check reddit for the official link (since it's technically piracy, I don't want to link it here) I know @DeadSeaOfMercury is interested, if you're interested please post here and you can join us!! Please fill out this survey! https://form.jotform.com/222215483579057 Please suggest books here! So far, it looks like people are pretty much interested in everything, so please submit your suggestions!!! For the first book, we'll be reading

5 likesI can't be the only one that feels a close para-social sentiment towards Lana's music, and so I wanted to cultivate a kind of safe space where we can share/ or even just talk about (even to/ for our own selves) the listening experiences we've had around Lana's music, and the impact it might have/ t've had for us. I had a long day and I usually just push myself (it also makes for good sleep), so towards nighttime, Lana's music has been a calming atmosphere when I don't want or really need something as aggressively stimulating. It's just the right amount of many things. I've mentioned this before also, in how some of Lana's music just happened to be released in times of my life, where I'd be experiencing similar things, and being much to myself most of the time, having her music accompany thru similar circumstances really helped me recharge, and ultimately, heal. I understand that many parts of the forum won't want to share these sort of things, but I thought it might be a nice space to have every once in a while. Share some moments you feel comfortable sharing around Lana's music and those moments if you wanted to below.

5 likesWhen all the "infos" are false and LDR9 is her melancholic 70's synth and dance pop ABBA-ish album with jazz influence; layered vocals/choir choruses; Spanish/French lyrics; and the scenery is roller skating teens having fun at a Mel's Drive-In parking lot (something similar to Love) Very unlikely but it would be amazing

5 likesThat account has been posting a lot about her lately… (okay, most of the posts were from the d*** « post », but still, maybe something could be coming next month) if that post doesn’t turn out right, I won’t hold it against them: nobody is good at describing her albums ever

4 likesFeeding off of the latest social media trend, I thought it’d be fun to do an LDR spin on this game. The idea is that we highlight songs that are top-tier but something ever so slightly makes them just barely miss the mark. I’ll start with an example: “How to Disappear is a ten but the jingle bells kill the vibe” Feel free to make your own spin on it too, e.g. “HTD is a ten but the jingle bells make it a 9” idk just have fun with it! Ready, go!

HFK grew on me with every year that has passed. At first I was like "this is a mess, she doesn't know what she's doing" and I suppose that's because I took her word for it that she would be doing the concept album better than the examples she gave (Born To Die and AM), which it definitely didn't succeed in doing. Imo, the album probably has half skips (the same way I see Manic) but half really good pop songs that I love unashamedly. It all seemed experimental to me, but an experimental success for sure. But still... IICHLIWP > Badlands & Room 93 > HFK > Manic. -

After the recent leaks I’ve been re listening to a lot of Sky’s early unreleased tracks and I love them so much. I truly wish we got one of those shelved electropop albums, she’s got such great material hidden away! I made my ideal tracklist for her debut album in my fantasy world One Obsession Untouchable Cobra 99 Tears Haters Anonymous Sex Rules Catch Me If U Can Kiss & Tell Elevator 108 Sick of You Shiny Toy Just imagine the collapse -
4 likesI think one of the reasons (other than of course being great music) is that it sounds so timeless that it doesn't feel dated at all even 10 years later. The perfect blend of pop and classic Excluding some outliers her music is aging extremely well and it's showing I also love the fact that it's not only BTD getting popular again, NFR and UV are doing great too and even Chemtrails and BB had their moments with the title track and Dealer. Lana's a living legend
