A&W completely caught me off guard and made me so excited about what’s to come! It’s hands down in my top five. The first half is so dreamy and 90s and the second half, though so different, just so brilliantly complements it somehow… This record’s gonna be IT. The drop in streams isn’t worrisome. A&W’s unfiltered streams (1,761,045) are stronger than the title track’s filtered streams (1,718,111) on Day 3, and the title track was actually added on multiple playlists that day (it was a Friday). For a 7 minute track with zero promo, it’s been performing remarkably well so far. Hopefully it’ll stabilise! Streams/sales are most definitely not reflective of a song’s quality, lol, but it’ll be cool if this turns out to be a hit.

I still find it weird that BOZ said “kintsugi” is just lana barely opening her mouth over bare piano, when lana herself said in interviews magazine that Kintsugi is so wordy, also him saying “bare piano” when the song actually has drums plus guitar in it , is he messing with us

it is a thing, just not for her. we stopped getting official lyrics from her a long time ago, she sometimes shares them for the "singles" but that's it. she doesn't seem to submit them to interscope or polydor, therefore they don't get shared. bozo shared the "official" lyrics for both tunnel singles but they are definitely written by some underpaid intern cause they are full of nonsensical errors n mistakes, i hope they are not being used for a booklet or something and if they are they should get corrected by her (idk if we saw everything in the tunnel booklets and if they will feature any lyrics at all)... this is one of the huge things that bother me about lana since pretty much UV. it would be so easy to create a lyrics section on her website to put all her album lyrics, i wish there was enough demand to get something like this done but no one cares and they seem pretty happy singing incorrect lyrics for like most of her songs. hearing the sessions to some of her HM, NFR, LFL stuff made me even more furious when i heard those vocal stems and how much of what's generally accepted for her lyrics is wrong, i try to get them changed on genius but mods contact me and ask for proof and i'm like GIRL

It was interesting..." I asked him his review, he said "I got to the 3... 3 and a half minute mark and I just thought to myself... 'This woman is very unsettled...', like, you can tell she's been going through something for a very long time and it's coming to a head... She seems slightly unhinged... By no means am I saying that this album is going to "flop" or "tank," I don't think that at all, but everything we know about this record feel antithetical to the world of streaming as we know it. The songs are lengthy, very personal, wordy, and experimental, so any success really should be celebrated than focusing on the negatives because ultimately numbers don't indicate quality at all

I just hope that A&W isn’t the only moment on the album where we get vocal distortion, vocal chops, trap beats etc Like I have pretty high hopes for Peppers & Taco x VB rn but I hope it’s more than just those 3 songs that have a really wild sound

I'm not dragging anyone. Both of them are accomplished artists and Lana's friends but when these artists take the inspiration from their friend and get more recognition than the OG, in my eyes it's not fair. It's giving: when you tell funny joke at the wrong time and no one hears you and then your friend repeats the same joke and everyone laughs. Besides for how big and famous they are, copying someone just shows how uninspired they are as artists.

I’m so glad our insiders didn’t mention the Norman sample. we weren’t expecting that one and it was a serve. Can yall believe we are getting an album with the entirety of A&W at the beginning and ending with a sample of VB at the end? We truly won.

I love Lana’s change in vocal tone as she repeats, “I’m just like this.” It’s a simple detail, but I think that shift to an almost annoyed/spiteful inflection at the end really helped deliver the repetition in a meaningful way. There’s so much subtle anger, sarcasm, humor, celebration, etc. in A&W that gets highlighted just by a slight turn of her voice without the need for vocal acrobatics, so to speak. Love that for us
