Summertime Sadness is the heart and soul of Lana’s discography. The desire she’s baked into her introduction to the world with that one… I can’t believe we ever used to shame people for loving that one tbh

SUMMERTIME SADNESS is one of Lana's best singles. Her incredible vocal delivery, with those haunting vocal layers, mixed with the sizzling guitar plugs, distorted trip hop beats and the colorful lyrics make a perfect Lana Del Rey song. The endlessly catchy melody with its unique production style is a reminder of why and how Born to Die became a bridge between the popular and the underground. The mainstream with the indie. The big stadiums and the small theaters. Its music video is a total early 2010s masterpiece and has influenced countless of artists, big or small. A song which, according to Lana, is "about nothing", having over a billion streams on Spotify only, is a statement of Lana's career. Congrats Lana!

This was such an interesting episode!! It's so crazy that Jimmy is from 2018. The story of their initial NFR of going down the canyon to the club having both Jimmy and Venice Bitch (beat version) makes so much more sense now! I wonder what happened between the initial idea and the released version that changed things.

DESERVED i don't care what anyone says, summertime sadness is one of her best songs, it also being one of her most popular doesn't change that also, going back to what 2018 surf noir had said... if they combined the two summertime sadness uploads, it would have about 878 million which is pretty insane

i want something spiritual/cinematic sounding (ex. bel air, life is beautiful, i can fly, affa) but there are a lot of things i would like to hear and i think the only thing i would be disappointed with is more songs like fingertips or sweet...

I think someone else said this, but I would love a song with David Kahne again. Like, his production is some of my favorite and I would like to see what he could do with Lana now. Maybe something like pawn shop blues since that seems like the direction she could take again, or maybe we could be surprised and get something like mermaid motel for all i know! I know it won't happen, but I just would like to see what they could do together now.

im such a slut for her chaotic songs (ex. Shades of Cool bridge, West Coast outro, Venice Bitch instrumental, Black Bathing Suit outro, A&W sample/climax/background noises, surf rock Peppers chorus, Dealer screaming, etc.) and Zodiac sounds like it would fit in this list, so ig what im saying is... leak zodiac and pls have lana do something crazy on the next album

Dear Lizzy fans, I would like to share with you my latest project. Seeing that the "swifties" community already have their own game called Taylordle.org I decided to create one for our queen. Lanadle.com is the site where you can try to guess the daily hidden word. Each word might be one of Lizzy's song titles, albums or even lyrics. There is also an unlimited feature where you don't have to wait 24 hours for the next puzzle. Please share all your thoughts and feedback and I will do my best to make it even better

same and i hate how swifties are so dramatic about the original versions saying it’s unethical to listen to and we’re terrible people. the originals are always superior, the way her voice sounds younger and more emotional fits with the lyrics better. i anticipate the rep re-recorded songs to not have as drastic of a difference since that album had her mature voice already. i’m most excited for rep/1989 vault tracks and don’t think i’ll even bother with the debut ones lol

Oh this is so shady. I hate all this back and forth crap with customer service and random companies, always having to wait for sooo long to fix the simplest issue. I hope you get your refund soon, it's so not fun dealing with these hoes

Short summary of what he said, he said a lot more but I'm not familiar with music production so I didn't understand half of it. - Recorded in 2 days - Lana likes to watch Jack play drums - Intentionally used detuned guitars - Jimmy was part of the original NFR album concept where she was in Laurel Canyon and in this song specifically going to the club - The vocal ad libs and some effects in Jimmy were new, but otherwise it's the original song from NFR

I'd really love LDR10 to lyrically and sonically sound like Coachella and have features like Nikki Lane and Stevie Nicks again. A return to craft if you will. Coachella is really underrated and I think a folk melody with harder trap beats would sound very nice with Nikki and Stevie's husky smoker rasps. AND Lana's songs like Coachella with her deepest and most well-thought-out messages are always amongst her best IMO

I want her to just get these re-records over and done with I'm sick of it. Drop them all at once and move on.

You come in clutch everytime! “Left the canyon, drove to the club” in Happiness is a Butterfly seemed to have been part of a bigger vision for NFR, then - I remember at the Grammy Museum interview + performance, Lana and Jack mentioned a little soundscape that they called “Laurel on top, Migos on the bottom.” It’s interesting to know that most of Jimmy was likely recorded in 2018.
