Ben reposted her W Magazine cover with the caption "New music in the works" I feel that it's a good sign that one of her managers confirms new music is coming x

She just had her first magazine cover in a while and started talking about her next project, also her public appearances increased over the last weeks…they’re clearly gearing up to something, there’s no way this won’t come in the next 6 months or so… spring 2023 at the latest, I’d say

It makes no sense for Lana to do a magazine cover if nothing was coming in the next 5-6 months tho... she's not the celebrity type to be everywhere in the media between album cycles so it must mean something. Maybe they did the interview some time ago (so no title yet) cause we know the pictures are recent (like literally last week when she was in NY so that was fast ) and they agreed for a May cover so it would be closer to the first music release of the new album

I for one am extremely intrigued by the automatic writing approach. I think we're going to get something really abstract and unhinged, an unpredictable exploration of Lana's mind without filters.

the thing about 'wordiness' that gets me is she also says she isn't using colors and is just singing what comes to mind. So many of her songs have been super descriptive, and quite frankly she's doing the opposite of what I've been wanting her to do. Instead of going back to a creative writing style she's doubling down on her more recent writing style. I'm trying hard to not be negative, and I'm going to wait until we get a taste of the new music, but I am a little nervous

can I just ask you how are you being so hopeful when she literally said “it’s a wordy album. it’s conversational. I just sing things to my voice memos and send them to Drew for him to put orchestra over it” or even “i found hard to have ideas when I’m alone” like we’re literally gonna get an album with no rhythm, songs with no structure full of verses without a chorus… I’m finding really hard to be hopeful about the next era. but I don’t wanna be negative so I’m just happy we’re getting music soon but I’m scared

Manifesting amazing bridges for this album Even though I loved her last albums alot I'm kinda sad about the lack of bridges

that pitchfork review went into 0 depth it’s like the person that wrote it skimmed through the album once and wrote an entire review based on what they remembered lol. also the fact that they mention several times that the album’s 90 minutes long when it’s literally 76 minutes long just an all around bad review

We’re less than 24 hours since Lana “titty” Del Rey released her hottest photo shoot in years and all you cucks can do is complain about how much you don’t like music that we haven’t heard a single note of. just kidding I love you all

Aren‘t we hearing this with every new released record since Honeymoon

Yup. This is exactly why I think that while a song like "hope", while lyrically interesting, is a dud, it's boring, it doesn't make for casual listenings. I think the stream of consciousness lyrical style works on certain songs, like "Text Book", but otherwise it's not really the vibe I prefer from her. The "wordiness" doesn't always sound very melodic to me either tbh, it's kinda jarring at times, especially when it's paired with the faux-grand/understated type of production we had on NFR. I'm just cautiously excited for new music at this point.

In regards to wordiness, I feel like that's something Lana's always done. Off To The Races and Tired of Singing The Blues come to mind to me for some reason. Wordiness or even conversational songs aren't something new to her writing (ex: Sirens is, in my opinion, a conversational album), so I'm not going to assume anything about how the album's gonna sound lyrically just because while it's not anything new for Lana, I feel like it's evolved throughout the years

i legit can’t see a digital album happening unless it’s a re-release of Lizzy Grant or the covers/unreleased album, she makes WAY to much off of vinyl sales not to have them.

I'm curious to see how this "wordy, conversational album" will fuse with what Rob described as "ethereal" and a possible insider described with the words "foggy beachy vibes". At least the W Magazine photos seem not to be contrary to what the latter revealed.

This part of the album cycle is reminding me of late 2014 when she was just starting to talk about her jazz inspirations for Honeymoon. I even think the recent glam is reminiscent of that time; the Gucci look is so reminiscent of her second night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and the W Mag shoot is thematically similar to the Galore Mag shoot -

It's amazing how different lyricism hits different people, because I find nothing redeeming about the lyrics of Watercolor Eyes and they don't touch almost anything on the past three albums in terms of that

When I look back tracing fingertips over plastic bags I think I wish I could extrapolate some small intention Or maybe get your attention for a minute or two LDR 9 LET'S GOOO

the more i think abt the album's few (possible) clues and how it might all come together, the more it seems so ambitious to me - i fear we might be in for an experimental, hypnotic, spiritual, highly conceptual masterpiece automatic writing, the unconscious, surrealism, old hollywood, hysteria, poetry, honeymoon's lush orchestral production?? brian eno and david lynch could never manifesting so hard

When I look back, tracing fingertips over plastic bags Thinking I wish I could extrapolate some small intention Or maybe just get your attention for a minute or two? Will I die? Or will I get to that ten-year mark Where I beat the extinction of telomeres? And if I do, will you be there with me? Father? Sister? Brother? Charlie, stop smoking Caroline, will you be with me? Will the baby be all right? Will I have one of mine? Can I handle it? Even if I do, they said that my mind It's not fit, or so they said, to carry a child I guess I’ll be fine It wasn’t my idea, the cocktail of things that twist neurons inside But without them, I’d die They say there’s irony in the music, It’s a tragedy, I See nothing Greek in it Give me a mausoleum in Rhode Island with dad, grandma, grandpa, and Dave Who hung himself real high In the national park sky It’s a shame, and I’m crying right now I didn’t get to you, save you If I take my life, find your astral body Put it into my arms Give you two seconds to cry Take you home, I I’ll give you a blanket Your spirit can sit and watch TV by my side ‘Cause baby I Went through a time when I felt you were doing it I couldn’t handle it, I was in Monaco I couldn’t hear what they said on the telephone I had to sing for the prince in two hours Sat in the shower Gave myself two seconds to cry It’s a shame that we die When I was fifteen, naked Next-door neighbors did a drive-by Pulled me up by my waist, long hair to the beachside I wanted to go out like you Swim with the fishes that he caught on Rhode Island beaches But, sometimes, it's just not your time, Caroline What kind of ~~~ was she to say I’d end up in institutions? All I wanted to do was kiss Aaron Greene and sit by The lake, twisting lime into the drinks that they made Have a babe at sixteen, the town I was wed in and die Aaron ended up dead and not me What the fuck’s wrong in your head To send me away never to come back? Exotic places and people don't take the place of being your child I give myself two seconds to cry Let it crash over me like the waves in the sea Call me Aphrodite as they bow down to me Sunbather, moon-chaser, queen of empathy I give myself two seconds to breathe And go back to being a serene queen I just needed two seconds to be me

Yes, totally agree x2 We do share a huge love for Lana but that does not mean that we always get what we personally want (maybe for now), I remember listening to Ultraviolence for the first time and i did not like it as much as BTD/PE era, but through the years, it's eventually my favourite album from her (and even of all time). So i think it's not always about "what we want and she serves that specifically to us" right in the destination of our expection, it's about the joy of seeing new vibes & experiencing the unexpected (even at the end of the day we might not like it) & the progress of it - might even grow on you at some point of your life.

Lana mentioning “icy waves” makes me wonder how amazing a true winter album from her would sound like especially after the recent photo shoot. Pale, white, cold and melancholic with icy gothic hilly vibes is what I want.

I'm not going to lie, Lana being on a magazine cover doesn't make me hype that new music is coming soon. After NFR she was on a magazine cover in October where she first talked about Let Me Love You Like a Woman and the song didn't come out for a whole year, and she did a lot of magazines in early 2019 and NFR didn't come until August. She's been known to cover magazines without music being close close. W is a fashion magazine and they don't regularly have 'music editions' so I think that's why she was on the cover this month. That said, I do think the album will probably be out this year, but I'm not going to take W magazine as an indication that it's closer than we think. Until she or her team or some reliable insiders start teasing the project I'm going to consider it far far away.

She just announced the single today and then deleted the post hours later? What the actual fuck This is the lowest she has ever gotten. She's a joke and a meme. I really hope this means the single comes THIS FRIDAY and not until June as I heard weeks ago.

yeah I think the super wordy, stream of consciousness lyrical style she has lately kinda kills the vibe. It’s really impressive songwriting but personally there’s no replay value for me. The music isn’t catchy or “fun” to listen to. And paired with the bare bones instrumental style she’s arrived at…not really easy listening but I have faith, she said there’s drums and orchestra right?

Had a date with an Older bear last night, cooked me food, great convo and great make out sessions so now I need Lana do release some sex music causeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee a bitch is about to go down I hope when she means wordy it’s in the music scape of Hope but also to quirky ness of off to the races. Whatever it is, I’m excited to hear how the melody sounds with the lyrics she teased anyways I’m excited for this, the no colour aspect has me very intrigued. Her albums are steeped with colour, red blue and yellow skies no colour is…………..melancholic

but if u said so, whats the point of putting her on a music edition right now? If theres nothing coming in at least 6-7 months? They can just choose any bigger name other than Lana to cover this new issue & as you guys said earlier: Lana & her team is really doing the most this time to keep every piece of info stay where they're supposed to be - no leakers no snippets no false promising no fake dates etc. this time. She probably lied when she was being interviewed that she did not have a title, but only God knows how far she's gone behind the scenes cooking up this era. She's about to be on Interview mag as well (hopefully), going out & attending fashion events & being so active, for Lana - i really believe she only being active if there's new music-related stuff coming (or at least poetry). And her stop using @lanadelrey, moved to @honeymoon, instead of 100% quitting SNS, she is still using her smaller ig account & keeping it lowkey, but still enough to spark some conversation around her, what she's been doing & stuff. I dont think this is for nothing. So... lets hop on the delulu train
