As I posted in the pre-pre-pre-release thread, Honeymouns, on Insta, said that three other songs were submitted for Euphoria, but only WCE was picked up by the show. I think Drew was part of WCE… there are also small circles that apparently got their hands on some new stuff at the beginning of the year. my guess is that it’s the three other songs meant for Euphoria. So, could the song she mentioned in the interview be one of those three « scrapped Euphoria » songs or something else entirely?

She's back in California so I sense another IG photo dump of the dolphin flower sofa followed by a single announcement I still think that the polaroids back in April (+ the December DNC ones) were album related and she was filming some aesthetic footage for a MV/album trailer at that dam with Chuck. I just had another dream about LDR9 rollout & this is the third time of this year that i dreamt of Lanita putting out an album ( please help me with this obsession) Okay so in my recent dream, Lana actually release this album in very later later this year (i think it was a November release). The interesting part is: the album title has absolutely nothing to do with that abbreviated D.N.C phrase. I never saw the title clear in my dream, it was always the part that my brain decided to "blur" tf out, but the title sounds really bizzare and it's giving the "Norman Fucking Rockwell" ring to the ears. I dont quite remember the album artwork but there are 5 alternate artworks & the whole era theme follows this color scheme. Another thing is, in my dream i was in the official album release day & my digital album was emailed to me. Then the crazy part is: When you download the zip file with the digital album that you purchase directly from her website, you'll GET ANOTHER ZIP FILE hidden inside and it was HER FUCKING UNRELEASED COLLECTION ALBUM - Yes, that 25-track best of unreleased album that she talks about in Amoeba, Hollywood back in 2017. And I saw BOZ confirmed on twitter that "this is what he couldnt believe that she's actually doing" - dropping 2 albums at the same time. The dream was GIVING the most that reality could NEVER & i dont even want to wake up My manifestation is going TOO FAR.

When will you guys understand that songs on an album are not always written 5 m9nths prior to release. Using older songs is not "lazy" or "recycling" or whatever. So even if the track would have originallx recorded in 2018, it does not have to mean that the album will be coming out very soon

I literally never post here but just wanted to say the London show was incredible. We are so lucky to have Charli Highlights/notable moments: - Caroline coming out on New Shapes - Charli dedicating Vroom Vroom to SOPHIE - Charli getting overwhelmed and crying and saying how much she loves us - Saying she wants a video for Yuck - Move Me (which seemed to be one of the favourites of the crowd) - UTKM and Baby (everyone was jumping and dancing) - She played XCX World before she came out (including the Pete Tong version of GNO)

Happy birthday to the 3 surprise singles! What a glorious day that was, I remember being so shocked that we were getting not one but three new songs so soon after Chemtrails was out, and then being completely blown away by the emotion and maturity of the tracks. All 3 are masterpieces and such gorgeous parts of this album.

She also said she was “frustrated” when she wrote Cherry and White Mustang! I mean we got anger and two chords (tho on keyboards/organ) with Dealer. If the instrument sounds good and the lyrics slap I’ll take it

Lana has so many unreleased songs, including 'the political songs' from the LFL period, the 'bombastic' songs she made with JA, and the songs cut from the original conception of BB, who knows what the other songs were that she offered to 'Euphoria'? Just from the LFL period forward, she probably has at least 20 songs about which we know nothing. So unless she tells us so, one or many of those could end up on the current album, or, more likely, none will, and LDR9 will just produce more songs that are sidelined and become mythical in our imaginations, as 'Yosemite' did for a couple of years. It's a truism that artists are poor judges of their own work, but I have seen this again and again, most often with Tori Amos, who typically leaves her best compositions off her albums.

I think it's not hard for Lana to write new songs, but to write songs that sound different from the previous ones. She already experimented a lot on Blue Banisters. Some fans may not have liked everything because they like to stick to old stuff and want to hear the same thing over and over again. But for example Text Book, Blue Banisters, Arcadia and Black Bathing Suit showed a whole new side of her that we didn't know before and didn't expect. I think she always needs a challenge, and that's why she's trying out this automatic writing thing now. Like any true artist, she wants to explore new territory and find paths no one has taken before. In the end this could lead to a great work that will shine for years to come.

I don't think it's fair to say that there are literally zero similarities though. I hear Lana's influence in Ethel's music and that's not a bad thing at all, they both tap into something incredible that most artists don't reach, with an overlap in the themes they explore and the moody atmospheres. Ethel is a very different artist from Lana and much darker, so if people are saying that she's a copy they're just wrong, but to say there are zero similarities is also not true. She may be getting annoyed that Lana is constantly apart of the conversation, but it's really meant as a compliment from a lot of people I'm sure and will only help more fans discover her. No new artist has hit me as hard as Ethel since Lana.

the london show was amazing! so crazy seeing her biggest show yet literally no one in the crowd around us knew what was going on when xcx world came on fidkdkakfkfn not even taxi visions was INSANE live the venue was so big that it was being filmed and put on screens, so there may be a live recording posted from the show? i like used to know me, twice and move me even more now because they were so special live! the crowd got sooo rowdy when caroline came out like it was a bit scary fkfkdkwkdkffmf

Gibson Girl fills me w joy, weirdly enough. The clinical precision of the writing, the darkness of the theme, the subtle irony, the melody, the narrative aspect… Exactly what I want to hear. Downright iconic. I love it sm. I think Family Tree is becoming my favourite though. I fell asleep in the car to this album the other day and was on cloud 9 for a solid hour Btw Ashnikko was at her concert like two days ago and looked like they had the time of their life

I've spent an unhealthy amount of time thinking about XCX World this past month. The buildup to it really felt like the promise of something glossy and magical back in 2016, but now it feels kinda heartbreaking and bittersweet. It's infuriating how she was met with so much resistance just when she was starting to come into her own as an artist (it literally would have been SO iconic if she had been given a chance to realize her vision ). I'm glad she was able to push through and stick to her creative impulses and turn noes into yeses, delays into mixtapes and leaks into new beginnings... It was a beautiful dream that met a terrible fate. It was punished for challenging the status quo but it paved the way for even more exciting bleep-bloop music. XCX World was all these things. But most importantly, XCX World is a place in our hearts. 💕 (Okay, I think I will give this a rest now and go back to streaming Crash.)
