i’m slowly diving into her discog… true romance, sucker and crash are in my most streamed albums of all time (true romance #1 for 2022). i listened to how im feeling now properly this week and oh my god it’s insane i love it so much need to familiarise myself with Charli, Pop 2 and N1A next sorry for this random unprovoked post, but after years of being intrigued by charli but never really understand her… i’m finally seeing the VISIONS and oh my goodness im a SUCKER for her. like her music feels like what i’ve been looking for my whole life omfg.

It can't be a coincidence... Maybe Lana casted a spell on us I sense some witchy vibes for this new album

Agreeing with what @Brow Bone said I feel the next record is going to be her most personal yet (I know this phrase gets thrown around a lot sorry ) but not in a - I tell you really personal experiences - but in a "I'll try to explain who I really am and where I come from" way. She mentioned in the W Magazine that she thought people would get to know her through her music, interviews etc but she realized she had to be more literal for people to really get what she was trying to convey. She did a really great job on WFWF going straight to the point so I hope for more songs like that. I wonder if she's finally "allowed" to talk about her family and if she's going to elaborate on the karmic lineage thing. Don't get me wrong, all of her music is extremely personal but a lot of it is hidden behind (beautiful) metaphors and imagery that set the tone but make the message more obscure (but it's part of the magic of Lana's music). She found the right balance between metaphorical and literal on BB so I'm sure the next one is going to be great too but I'm a bit scared if she's taking out a big part of what made her music so special (like she said, there's no space for color on this album)

from an intuitive collective sort of sense, i have a feeling that she's gonna search more and perhaps talk more about her identity, who she is, what's she's defining herself as. that explains going further into looking into her family. it also coincides a lot w blue banisters sort of book chapter ending. i think maybe she had an identity or vision of what she wanted life to have been like by now, but instead, she sorta had to recalibrate. there's a lot in life where part of your identity is sorta labeled and expected of you regardless, but it can also be dangerous to let only those define who you are, where you forget your innate self, the things that you'd like to do and how you move. perhaps that can be part of the conversation and wordiness she mentioned. maybe she can talk more about the cult of personality, and how there are other, higher perspectives of being. like how emotions are, how people react and what they do, despite their environment, the elevation from personality, labels and their comforts to more so about character and legacies. it coincides w that mention of conversational/wordiness cus anything can be, but also the fact that blue banisters was an ending of a cycle where she stripped away what society thought of her, to redefining/ checking in w herself again after her more traveled journey from fame. it also answers the what now? question she might be asking herself as well as what her listeners are probably thinking to some extent, while perhaps having her move beyond lineage/ cycles that she'll hopefully learn more about to progress towards an even solid, fortified/ potent sense of self, what that means and how that might be for others as well. if this isn't as articulate as i'm lineating from my thoughts i'm sleep deprived and i'll now get some z's

I also had a dream about the album a few nights ago. I dreamt that LDR9 was a visual album and told a story set in a fictional city somewhere on the west coast. The name of that city was also the album title (I can’t remember the name). I remember that I found the whole concept to be weird but intriguing at the same time and was interested to see how Lana would work it out: There were two social groups living in this city – poor and rich. Poor people were only allowed to go out and live their lives during the daytime (do work for rich people – cook, clean etc.). Then at night, rich people would awake and party, do drugs, spend their money, etc. It separated two groups; rich people acted obliviously and didn’t recognise the lower class. Once a year, there would be a ball/banquet at this massive hotel in the middle of the city (so big, you could see the hotel from any distance). The album starts with Lana getting an invitation letter to attend this event; the first couple of songs follow her preparing for this event. I remember her singing ‘’Will you be there, waiting at the entry? Will you hold my hand and carry me through the night?’’ Then, a few songs later, she arrives at the hotel. I vaguely remember her singing to guests and doing drugs (taking some fictional black pill), fuking at the rooftop. I can’t remember the rest, but in the end, Lana sees everything that is wrong with that place and leaves the hotel. Later, we see Lana taking the train to escape the city. She finds one of her closest friends (Nikki Lane? )there too. Lana sits next to her and this is how the album ends. The album was split into parts (songs); each Friday, Lana would release a new song from the album accompanied by high budget MV. Oh, and the sound was exactly like Art Deco (sultry, mysterious, accompanied by saxophone and violins with trap beat). The album cover looked similar to THIS with Lana standing in front of the hotel. It's probably because i watched WM MV before going to bed but this is on par with album aesthetics :))

I mean I don't thinks she's shooting for commercial success but she really just lies to us and then when things change she can't even be bothered to update her fans. Even in that profile she says her fans "deserve the best" but like she can't even be bothered to to update us on anything. She literally deleted the single announcement post. Idk I love her music I just find her to be a very frustrating person.

If she wasn't satisfied with the original music video, I can respect that she decided to edit it herself instead.... but! I do think it's very odd they delayed the single release for such a long time due to the video being unfinished. It's been days now since the single release and there's still nothing from her regarding the video... so like, what was the point?

Listen I'm sure her label did give her hell but firing your video editor because you didn't like "the vibe" of what they put together and deciding to do it yourself.............i wonder where she got the reputation of being "difficult to work with"
