Before I can even share my thoughts, I still need to recover from the Hope is a Dangerous Thing performance. That had me bawling. I'm sure a lot of you know how much that song means to me. She portrayed it perfectly.. because sometimes when you truly are hopeless, you feel like a shell of yourself... a ghost... a withering whisper in the wind... just like a hologram. Perfect. Quick thoughts on the rest - she looked absolutely radiant. Hair, makeup, outfit, everything perfect. Once she got the opening nerves out of her, her vocals were beautiful too. Lots of emotion on Arcadia. The pole dance during Candy Necklace was iconic. The two songs with Billie were just so incredible I don't quite have words for that either except that I would absolutely kill to be in Billie's position where my favourite artist is not only singing my song, but is letting me sing her signature song with her. What an honour. Anyway. Need to pull it together a little bit more because Hope has destroyed me and I will be unreachable for the rest of the weekend as I have an existential crisis xx

despite all of the sound and setlist issues that was a motherfucking gag idc, I'm literally floored right now. she looked so 2011/2012 that it was just kind of a surreal feeling to see it. like she had entered a time machine and transported herself to 2024 straight from that time, so I caught myself getting a bit emotional multiple times because I really got to be her fan for that long and it made me realize how time really does fly. the entrance and the exit were fucking iconic and for the books. I will never recover from them and ofc the glam team, styling team, stage design team, the pole dancers, the backup dancers, the background singers, the band... every one of them did their parts so well

2010 2024 somethings never change

I think she needs a better tour designer or someone she can work with to make her shows a cohesive performance cause it seems like she has good ideas (the motorcycles, the terrace, the stripper pole, hologram) but like with the awkward transitions and minutes of dead air in between some tracks makes it seem like the show was never ran through in full before being put on and then all the other shit that was wrong with the show performance wise and technically like gurl this was rough

Lana's biggest issue with these big performance is that she starts big with a cunty/camp entrance, like there is no doubt that this was HER BEST entrance all shows considered, but she really lose momentum halfway through with these slower/more obscure tracks... like The Grants, Ocean Blvd., Hope--they're all obviously hauntingly beautiful tracks--but it creates these down moments. Her shows lack peaks and valleys, they start high and somewhat end on a low note.

and fuck all the people on her team and whatever who were hyping this show up to be something like she’s never done before. fire the whole fucking team at this point

well we let our expectations snowball massively what were we expecting lmao ... tbh the jealous girl intro gagged everyone, without you / west coast / doin time ate, she obviously had to sing her most famous hits, she got in some of her favourite ballads where her vocals could shine, candy necklace improv with jon ate, video games duet with billie ate, she got meta with the hologram, gagged everyone again with A&W.... the lows were low (see the sound issues and abrupt end) but the highs were high let's not be too overdramatic

I hope they do shower her with praise, but there is a difference between "negative" and "Disappointed" a lot of people (myself included) stayed up for this, and it does seem a BIT underwhelming. She looked great, and started out so strong, but vocally, whether or not they were from mic issues or in her head issues, simply weren't good and missing for more than half of the songs. She absolutely could have eaten her background singers up, but she didn't. The back ground singer hit the high note every single time. Was it a good show, absolutely. Was it not the best? also absolutely. When we can sleep on it/think on it, it probably won't be seen as so bad, but right now it is a bit disappointing. Expectations were ungodly high, but I think deep down we all knew that

lana should REALLY consider a live orchestra if she wants to keep doing those many ballads that would upgrade the experience so much like imagine arcadia but with beautiful strings? that could be the highest point of the show! the way the band is currently set right now doesn't allow the slower songs to really shine. you see they work really well with higher energy songs like west coast but when it comes to songs like bartender it all gets really quiet and weird
