31 likesLana, if you read this: quick, drop the cover + preoder. It's very easy to exploit my bank account in this vulnerable state your singles put me in

26 likesThe thing that BOZ said about don't be negative about the release tells me that this is a calculated and planned/spread-out release where she is releasing in maybe... cycles? and the first ones out are the three most narrative ones all intertwining a theme about her past and herself. And this first cycle there is no interviews, no posts, no promo because they are her most personal songs yet and she knows the news and media will ask her about her mother, abuse, and the picture she is using, which she doesn't want to elaborate on...these songs were for the fans. a quiet release to begin telling her story. Now that this is just the beginning Im expecting as we move closer to the real release she moves on and release the lead that may not be as personal or revealing. And We most likely still have a high budget video coming since she followed colinseyes.

25 likesIt’s funny to remember how upset I was with the single cover for MAC, how I felt that such a great song deserved a better cover, and that I’m almost indifferent to it now. Lana picking selfies as single covers is like a new tradition now, I know it’s gonna happen so I don’t have the energy to complain about it anymore lol.

21 likesI am not really surprised by the low numbers of the three singles. The songs are excellent, but to release three songs at once with zero promo, the songs need to be bombastic to speak on their own and to appeal to the masses. The three are so introspective, and I guess the « casual BTD listener » doesn’t click with them?!?

20 likesI just can't stop listening to WW. I don't understand people that say the non-Jack production didn't bring any change to the sound. Her voice is so much clearer, the are so many layers, it all sounds so much wider and more melodic. I love it so much

19 likesI think her management have just given up now tbh. Remember it was Ben who forced her to do a better cover for NFR and it turned out so amazing, especially compared to the shit she was going to use. Lana seems to just be doing whatever she wants now visually tbh, these new single covers are genuinely hideous. Edit: just saw her Billboard pic, LOL guuuuuurl, she takes pics like my Grandma posting on Facebook before she died.

18 likesAfter listening to the three tracks, I would love if the album cover was something simple, serene, and muted. I think it would be really fitting to have the visuals contrast the very intense lyricism but also reflect the classicism of the production/sound. This album feels like it’s going to dive into a lot of the psyche prefacing Lana Del Rey as we know her, so I think a simple portrait would be perfect. I made this “painted” one - I think it matches the music well

18 likesI'm still very intrigued and wanting to know what BOZ meant by just the beginning and I can't believe she is doing this. There was a theory I believe I saw on twitter where it said she would release songs in threes up until album release. Do I believe that, not really. It is an interesting concept though. I don't think it's traditional to release a full album before the "release". I guess we will just have to wait and see. I def think the lack of speaking/promo is a conscious choice. The theory that it's kind of a fuck you to the media would make sense, in a sense. We all know how headstrong she is! In regards to the label/mgmt caring or not, as others have stated they have other big acts that are the pop push artists. I feel like Lana is just kind of an auto pilot artist for them. They know she is consistent and has a very strong following. They know no matter what she puts out it will be successful. She doesn't have to do much to make them and herself money. Are there probably conversations about her doing more, most likely. Again though, she is very stubborn. I can maybe see them being used to this and just kind of picking their battles lol! As far as the new songs, I have had them a cple days and I can say they are all three so meaningful and beautiful. They evoke so much more feeling then a lot of her recent tracks and I am so fucking excited. I think it is funny how WW was the one hyped up most but the other two are def standouts to me. I'm leaning towards BB being my favorite but it does go back and forth between it and TB. There is just something super special about BB though, it really hits. It is just so heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time.

18 likesI have a theory, it might be a reach but I want to share it anyway. Her title tracks have always either been the first or the second songs on her albums. And I see her albums as pairs: UV is the follow up to BTD (the consequences of fame and how destructive it can be, while also being in a unhealthy relationship). BTD is track 1 and UV track 2. Then there’s LFL as the follow up to HM. HM is the idealisation of love, but again it didn’t work and LFL being her journey to go from the black to the blue and figuring out why she couldn’t put her life together in the past. HM is track 1, LFL track 2. And finally, there’s NFR, COTCC and BB. Unlike her other albums, I see these three as a trio. NFR is an insight of her daily life, daily thoughts, she started being really introspective with this album. NFR is track 1. Then she released COTCC, where she reveals more of her past and continues the introspection. COTCC is track 2, and the album is clearly a continuation of NFR. But here’s the thing: I think BB will be the continuation of the two previous album, being even more introspective and expressing even deeper things. If NFR is her daily life and COTCC more about her past and her relation to fame, BB will be a mixture of both. Which leads me to think that for once, she’ll break the pattern and BB will be track 3.

17 likesKnowing that the last song for COTCC was written in February 2020, it's interesting to note that by the time we first knew about Chemtrails, Lana's headspace had already shifted to these new songs. Her going blonde, the Interview Magazine video, QFTC, Behind the Iron Gates....all of these things seem to be motifs that will run throughout the album. I wonder how Lana felt about releasing an album as idealistic as Chemtrails when the reality as it was coming out was anything but. That must have been a real dichotomy and I guess that explains all the uncertainty surrounding it. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the crazy year we've all had will weave its way into this record. I can tell it's going to be soul-crushing, earth-shattering, a real journey. I loved Patent Leather Do-Over as well - it truly is a "magnum opus" when it comes to her poetry - and the writing on these 3 songs is incredible. She really tapped into a new creative vein of introspection amidst this pandemic. This record + the next poetry book are just going to be a new peak for Lana. I am soooo excited!

16 likesI honestly don't blame Lana for not wanting to post about the songs. I'm not a fan of the single covers, but I imagine it can be tough to have all your comments bombarded with "Change your album cover!" "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OMG' and things like that. I've somewhat mentioned this before, but these singles were really intriguing to me. They could either be telling everything about what the album is going to sound like or nothing. With her working with producers like Mike and Zach, I know there's a lot of ground production wise there that she could cover, and I'm really hoping that she does. Lyrics wise, I'm hoping for more songs like WW

16 likesThe name drops are terrible. We've had enough with Sean, Joni, Joan, Stevie, Cortney, and now Jenny and Nicki Lane. It's a little embarrassing and each new one dilutes all the others.

16 likesMadonna posting stories with candies and now captioning BLUE on the instagram. I know the colobration rumours are just rumours but I believe she and Lana probably encountered during the studio sessions, and that's when Lana started to follow her back. Madonna is hanging out with Mike Dean, Sage Skofield and Sean Solymar for her tour's sound mixing.

16 likesIf anything, the BLM mention is to relate to Sean and the height of QFTC when her entire relationship with him was being criticized since she was a “part” of the problem. Then there’s the constant reference of her dad, she almost adores him in every way and tries to search for someone to his stature but in a way the same type of man is the one who constantly betrays her, maybe in the same way that Lana feels betrayed since he’s still married to her mother whos a person who has constantly contributed to the harsh self image.
