the way the mood of this topic always switches from "we love sky she's such a queen omg she can do no wrong she's the best popstar of all time" to "sky is so boring and messy and looks dead on stage and she should be ashamed of herself" in literally 2 minutes đ -

No shade but this thread feels like a bunch of people hitting the middle predictive text button over and over again. Like. Huh? -
16 likesManifesting that LDR9 goes hand-in-hand with the 25 best unreleased songs collection album as a hidden zip file when purchasing the album exclusively from her website. Lanita GET THAT COIN from your tiktok hits I know that she has way moreeee better unreleased bops but i have to pick whats viral on tiktok right now versus her very best ones.

16 likesRock Candy Sweet is Loved You Then And Now. Rock Candy sweet is a lyric, like watercolor eyes. (At least thatâs what insiders said forever ago) if itâs a mix of TJF and IYLDWM, I absolutely want it. Those are two of my favorite songs from each album. I donât get that vibe for LDR9 though, so maybe weâll get LYTAN for LDR10

im sorry but thereâs no way to excuse this. I was at the Barcelona show and it felt like an awkward school presentation. At the beggining everyone was screaming and cheering for her nonstop and she hardly acknowledged it, didnât engage with her audience at all, and just looked annoyed, uncomfortable and mad. I really love her music and artistry, but its totally understandable for people in the crowd who didnt know her much and were there out of curiosity to walk away. We can say whatever we want about her anxiety or stage fright problems, but at the end of the day she was just standing there awkwardly without nothing more going on, constantly giving death stares to the sound technicians and giving up on herself. We were there just to have a good time and sing along with her, and everyone was so excited to hear for the first time âall my lovers dieâ among other songs (voices carry included!) but as soon as she finished, she said something like âwell, that wasnât goodâ, killing the whole vibe. Some fans immediately starting shouting âit was good!â âdont worry its ok we love you!â but câmon⊠it really got depressing and undewhelming. Luckily for me and my friends, we spaniards do have some sense of humor - when it finished we just laughed it off saying how the show itself was kinda iconic and on-brand for her, that despite our low expections (yknow, we kinda knew what we where getting ourselves into) she still managed to surprise us with whatever she got going on, and how, after years of only seeing sky in very few, blurred and low quality pictures, we finally got to see her in âhigh resâ for like half an hour. final thoughts - if it happens once, shame on the festival or the technicians. If happens twice or three times, shame on her for not stepping up and fixing her showâs issues. If it happens EVERY time⊠yeahâŠâŠ.. also, where tf is the music video? -
12 likesI had my first dream about Lana last night. I was skipping and singing my gay ass through a brick tunnel while listening to the lead single. I donât remember the lyrics but it was upbeat, tons of reverb with delicious layered vocals. She kept repeating 3 lines that punched so good. Tons of energy. It was really similar to the end of BBS âcause no one does it better!â and FIILY âCalifornia dreaming, Iâve got money on my mindâ vocals. Iâve never dreamt about an unreleased song before so this was fun oh also my dream was in black and white. It looked exactly like the W magazine shoot. Lana is penetrating the collective subconscious this era without even releasing a second of music

Why y'all keep lying? Like, there's literally no such thing as Primavera Sound or Best Kept Secret, Sky never been there, these festivals never existed, Sky last concerts were in 2018. Stop trying gaslighting me -
11 likesthis isnât another element, but it would be neat if ice were a part of it (âwaist-deep in icy wavesâ caption) I like the idea of a really cold, moody, bleak-feeling record, and I think it would fit. Also, sheâs done similar like in Swan Songâs ârushing up from the water where the ice meets,â so weâll see!!

so Iâve been a sky fan since the beginning and I had never seen her live, so back in 2019 when she announced she was performing at Pitchfork fest I flew in to see her perform for the first time ever. obviously it was very disappointing as we all know what happened (luckily Charli put on an amazing show and made up for it) but the way she got mad and walked off stage had me so sad because she her set list that she actually performed felt so random and she was visibly upset and annoyed with the sound issues the entire time. seeing these last 2 shows, I feel way better about it knowing that it wasnât just a one off performance that ended up like that but it makes me wonder why she even does festivals at this point she obviously is very specific about her music as we know from her creative process and a major perfectionist. She cannot excel in a festival setting because of the limitations there are. I donât know why she doesnât just stick to doing a club tour where she can have better control of the logistics to make sure the performance goes as planned like whatâs the point of even doing these festival shows anymore? It canât be helping her with promo for people to see her do half a set while being annoyed before being kicked off stage mid set list -

10 likesi finally got to reading the w magazine interview and i think what she might've meant to say is that the writing might be a lot more quick and maybe even less filtered. what i want to know more about rather, is from where the album is sort of coming from. not much is going on, but strangely enough, i think once she shares something, a lot'll just connect

okay i really don't care enough to be mad because i wasn't there to any of the festival dates, but i would love to know what the hell is happening with her. like i'm sure if she just addressed what's going on and explained people who like her enough would understand. but it's really hard to root for her with these strange displays of unprofessionalism, which only a minority of us were willing to excuse in the first place when they had to do with her not getting an uber to the studio (or whatever?) first, she says the album she's been teasing since 2015 is not done. then, a single drops way too late to gain any momentum without the video because she can't compromise her "vision" (???) and has to learn Final Cut/Premiere/sony vegas (lol) on the spot then, a bunch of the wildly anticipated tour dates happen and all exhibit the same issues. even without her chaotic (euphemism) background, damn. really hate to see it. but i also really think most of you guys take every single one of her missteps a little too personally. let's be stoics and accept whatever finds our way. that's the only way anyone can be in this for the long haul at this point -

Idk whose idea it was for someone like her to go on a festival run but like someone said, having her own tour in more intimate venues wouldâve spared her from all that chaos. Running late when thereâs a tight schedule for you and other performers is just straight up unprofessional, I sympathize if she gets stage fright or something but câmon at some point she needs to get it together if she wants to be a musician. -

8 likesI'd love that for LDR9. Though I'm a big fan of most of LFL, it's neither 'witchy' or 'Blade Runner-esque,' (even if the latter was only intended for one song). Maybe she should have asked Stevie Nicks for 'witch' lessons, as Stevie introduced witches into rock n' roll with 'Rhiannon' (though she later retracted Rhiannon's association with witches, which actually was incorrect), and later seemed to write about them again on 'Sisters of the Moon' (which some people think was about Nico). As I've noted before, Lana once said, with apparent disdain, that she 'grew up in a kind of Carly Simon household,' and it's funny how influences get under the skin, because, to me, a good deal of BB sounds like Carly Simon, especially BBS, IYLDWM, VFR, SC, and 'Arcadia.' And the same for some of the songs on COCC, like LMLYLAW, WAH, DTWD, and WD. I would like to see Lana break free of her 'confessional' period, if only for fans' sakes, for at least one record, and give us something 'revved up,' like 'Serene Queen,' one of my all-time favorites of hers, released or unreleased. But, as always, I'll take whatever she serves up. Some real aural surprises would be nice, though.

8 likesdef would love to see her experimenting with lush, dreamy sounds and heavy reverb more often - an album full of songs like valley of the dolls would be a blessing, i donât even mind the fact that this song is just a demo it could be also something more orchestral like titanic rising by weyes blood - i think the closest of this style we had from lana is honeymoon, or something more funky like daddyâs home by st. vincent - reminding me of the bridge from dance till we die something indie rock would be cool too, but in different way than norman - maybe something like big thief/lucy dacus music, maybe something with country influence, maybe something with shoegaze influence

7 likes'Mezzanine' would actually be a pretty cool name for LDR9, especially after 'Blue Banisters.' It could have symbolic associations too, "a low story between two others in a building, typically between the ground and first floors," as in, "I'm in a mezzanine phase of life, neither here nor there, neither in the past nor the future, neither where I want to be and don't want to be." Also, Cancer = Water sign, yes, but 'water' in astrology symbolizes feeling and emotion, so water would not necessarily be used in depicting Cancer, no more than a crab might be. I'm an Aquarius only 6 hours into Aquarius out of Capricorn, and have loads of Capricorn in my chart, but Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer, even though it's an Air, or Thinking, sign. Astrology is all checks and balances.

Lets all agree that Sky has no stage presence. She moves like she's in a karaoke bar and her genre of music and outfits don't help it either. She looks so uninterested and not in a Kurt Cobain kind of way. The technical difficulties were a cherry on the top. In more than 10 years she still managed to stay at the level of other local indie artists that perform at bars and have barely any experience. Kind of embarrassing. Small indie bands that perform at my ex local high school look like MJ compared to Sky. -
7 likesIn my opinion, about the sound of LDR9 I think there is not going to be a meticulous instrumental telling all the details like Honeymoon. She said in the interview that for this album she is doing automatic singing, it seems to me that it is how it comes out the first time, an example of this would be the song sweet carolina that she did in one take and this is noticeable in her vocals. I love this too <3

beyoncé is gonna release B9 by the time this girl can get her music video out -
6 likesThis may have been mentioned, but I have a hypothesis about LDR9 1.) I think half (maybe up to 75%) of this record will essentially be the musical equivalent to Violetâwordy, lo-fi, intense, and conversational. Iâm expecting these tracks to be an extension of the Blue Banisters triple singles but with a more orchestral twist 2.) I think the other portion of songs (maybe 25%-50%) will be noticeably different in both lyricism and tone. I think itâs no coincidence that Jack divulged that there was a third pool of more energetic tracks that remain unheard. Not only do I think this would balance the record well, but I think her team is likely encouraging her to possibly put out more âcommercialâ tracks after the quiet release of Blue Banisters. Also, she seems super happy lately, so thereâs that too! Because of this, I could see us getting a record like LFL that has songs that appear to be on opposite ends of the spectrum both in production, tone, and lyricism (think Lust For Life vs Change). Do I think weâre getting LFL 2.0? No, but I think we can expect a larger but cohesive variety of tracks that can appeal to a wider audience, and that might explain why weâre seeing Jack, Drew, and potentially Rick as possible participants in LDR9. Weâll see
