he literally said Patrick just threw the stems he had together and filled in the blanks, so your "contradiction" makes no sense. Obviously they would share stems, we all simply assumed the overlap wouldnt be that big. I have never seen anyone think it ever was an album title Again, i dont see how anything that BoZ said is contradicted by your post. Lana literally said shes not gonna release any more music after BTD cause she has "said everything she wanted to say"... 9 months before we got the Paradise EP, its not like she is very trustworthy herself and we have plenty of evidence that she changes her mind all the time We have a plethora of UV outtakes, what exactly makes you think e.g. Fine China or Youe Girl werent on thw final tracklist until she re-recorded the album with Dan? Your arguments are solely based on the fact that Dan is not a co-writer. We have no idea if Lana changed the tracklist, so again, your arguments dont make sense i think this is a pretty rich statement coming from someone who calls this "myth busting" when said "busting" is based on vague and very shaky arguments, but you do you not saying everything BoZ says is correct or accurate, but this is kinda ridiculous Also, you say he is the king of just assuming or posting theories, but youre not satisfied when he is clearly telling us when he is unsure and just speculating pick a lane so for now, i choose to believe BoZ instead of 3 day old lanaboards user @LBcita have a good day

okay honestly i stayed queit for too long. I am no insider but my dear close friend is, and they are very reliable, i will not be revealing their name cause i know how you guys can get (see Boz, Carcase, etc.) and i would hate for my friend to be treated poorly online. With that said my friend does reveal infos to me cause they know i will not be sharing, but seeing all this misinformation bothers me so much, so here's what i'm 100% convinced the truth is. You are free not to believe it but please do not harass or be rude, i know this is the truth but you guys do you.

I merged a certain new thread into this one. Having a whole thread dedicated to some sort of “exposé” of other member/person doesn’t sit well with me and just seems like a brewing place for drama. Though, it seems like most thoughts from that can be discussed here x

I think that Lana's duality is supposed to be the one of the central themes of the album.

i think it's a profound statement to think about when u've got this girl to woman singing about her adventures from a place of just being on her own, tryna make her dreams come true alone, all the way to her being able to sing so comfortably about her family. her start, her response to the media w UV, HM solidifying her perspective/ artist status. LFL's hopes, NFR's taste of direction and devastation. to Chemtrails and BB's healing and this album's liberation. In a way, as fans, and because her music encompasses a lot about life, I like to think that we might've also grown w her thru similar instances.

look, it's a given that everything is conjecture, especially given the fact that lana herself isn't a reliable source of information for these things (as @sparklrtrailrheaven mentioned) we can have a consensus on what is generally true and what isn't (like the list of prospective btd outtakes), but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter like, lana put songs from 10 years ago on blue banisters - does that mean she concepted this album way back then? the point behind having things like "melancholia" or "tropico" to bridge the gap between paradise and uv is mainly to have a way of categorizing the copious amounts of unreleased songs we have it's also kind of a window into her creative process - but again, we're not literally inside lana's head, so whether we are factually correct or not in our assumptions, is moot as far as tampering with leaked material is concerned, again, it doesn't rly matter if patrick warren created the stem edits, or if a fan did - in either case they're stem edits made after the fact if patrick warren created them, then sure, there's more legitimacy there, but typically we aren't clamoring for stem edits to leak anyway, lmao

Laptop hack happened somewhere around the start of September of 2011 then her emails got hacked around early-mid 2012 which would have been before Tropico That whole situation is interesting to me because theres probably a lot of files that were lost due to carelessness of the ldr.fm mods </3 (I'm sure WAGTD was one of them)

I think, as Lana fans, we should've known by now that everything is subjective when it comes to her projects/unreleased... she changes her mind every 2 minutes so... Who knows? Maybe Tropico really was an album and then one day she woke up and said no ma'am let's change it up... that's a really Her thing to do

i disagree that this is a lyrically "lazy" album with tracks like kintsugi and fingertips....i realize there's a lot of lyric recycling like making references to letting the light in, when you know you know...etc. but that's nothing new to miss red dress pale moonlight

I don't really understand the point of your Patrick essay, considering 111 confirmed himself that Patrick had made new versions (remixes) of the songs with additional production. The filenames all had "old keys" indicating he was using parts from the original versions.

The [mother] censor in Fingertips has an effect like she's going underwater and then coming out. It ties with her line about suicide attempt at the water, and also her line about Aphrodite because Aphrodite was born from the sea.

this is her artistic peak she excels with a lower budget- there isn’t a single flaw with this music video and i stand by that also the production never gets old. the violins coming in at 2:51?? hello???

This album really gets better with every listen I’m kinda disappointed that the album leaked early and then we got all these other leaks this week. This album deserves better than for this thread to be lowkey kinda dead.

Coming back here again to share my impressions of the album and it is definitely one of the best and essential of the career. It's so amazing about how sincere she was here. She has this mysterious aura that makes even her closest fans feel ignorant of her private life. She was extremely brave to share every little thing here, and it's clear that she's sure of what she says, not afraid of what people will think. Lana deserves to tell her own story and I am grateful to be able to listen.

I don’t get why her team has never put one of her songs on Spotify’s biggest playlist(Today’s Top Hits). Melanie Martinez and Lorde were both put on there despite having less monthly listeners. Peppers or Paris, Texas could have done well on there. I know she doesn’t care about charts, but this album deserved a bigger push from her label on streaming services.

Literally... That notebook is also the biggest proof to the existence of Tropico In that sense, then the Chemtrails over the Country Club track list and Rock Candy Sweet are also not early concepts because we don't have facts about it The argument of it being tampered with does not make sense because these are quite literally the original files Also this interview of Lana talking about her next record being stripped back and having stacked acapella files with west coast influence (from Nov. 2012)... what more proof do you need EVERYTHING adds up

The only complaint I keep having (and it’s not about the music, but the physicals) is the booklet. What stops her and her team or whoever’s responsible from including the lyrics to all the songs? It’s disappointing to have such a great album and then checking out the booklet that turns out to only have like 3 pages

The censoring of "mother" on Fingertips really grew on me. The fact that she intentionally took that word out makes that line even more devastating.

I remember making this one real heartfelt comment about Cherry Blossom in an earlier pre-release thread, and i'm just so happy that she added it to BB. I've been trying to work around understanding how this album connects w the rest, but from BB, it feels like Violets For Roses can connect to Sweet. BBS in sound, Arcadia as the land that she travels thru and semi- theater sounds, as well as no one's mentioned yet, but her body being LA, and the title track mentioning her soul, and how everyone finds it just like Camarillo, but not past that. Tunnel and Candy Necklace connects to a sound/ atmopshere/ energy to BTD, about a more solemn timbre of life. the anthemic pacing of tunnel, and the dynamism of CN. the interludes remind me so much of UV. The Grants sounds like an elevated track sprung forth from Chemtrails. Let The Light In from LFL, the last 3 tracks, from NFR. fishtail, like TJF's relaxed sister. Grandfather sounds like sunbeams raying down from UV's gloomier world. the beautiful thing that i love and find about this album is it's delicate subject matter, reflected off it's phrasing, and sound/ soundscape, that contrasts the solidness of it all still. where BTD seemed very fixed and gutsy, UV filled w rage and anger HM in mystique, and pleasure LFL's play NFR's introspection COCC's refuge and pocket world and BB's healing and restoring. this album culminates all these traits and transforms it through a "tunnel"/ passageway thru catharsis. prominently thru this album than the past albums. the beautiful thing about this record, or one of the things, is the theme of release, letting go. and having that balance of honoring your past, your own self, remembering and reclaiming yourself. there's a feeling of self-ownership that's being exuded from this album. so, for me at least, when she sings of family, identity, interaction w society at large, and battling of perspectives vs. her own knowledge of her own self (cus she's actually herself), she's able to sing of it all straightforwardly, bc she walks her talk, and it's of her life, despite what the external might project onto her. it's incredibly liberating, all the while being a great reflector of the world/ reality around is now, bonus points for the solidness of wisdom and consistencies that supports the weight of everything around, within, and the rest of the corridor of the life and times thru this album. cus what's braver these days than being your own self and standing by that?
