Ana Benavides (23) died from a cardiac arrest moments before Taylor Swift hit the stage in Rio de Janeiro due to the ongoing heat wave in the country, with temperatures higher than 50°C/122°F. Any concert on a day that surpasses 40 degrees should be cancelled tbh, the fact that it was FIFTY degrees and went ahead is incredibly reckless & shows a complete disregard from *ALL* parties for the health and safety of the concertgoers. Even in a venue where there is air conditioning etc, as soon as you put thousands of people in a mosh pit crammed together it raises the temperature in the mosh by a considerable amount. and to whoever it was who said “ummm ackshually I heard there WAS water!!!!” get out of here with that victim blaming bs. Even if there WAS water, YOU tell me how someone is supposed to turn around and wade through hundreds and hundreds of rows of tightly packed people to get outside of the pit and go get water ? It’s literally almost impossible, especially if you’re near the front of the pit. NO concert should be occurring in such intense heat. Period.

Thankful Taylor cancelled tonight's show and rescheduled it for Monday. We don't want anything like that to happen again, she made the correct call.

First, i heard there was water and people in general admission just didn’t want to move and lose their place Also i don’t understand why the statement is being revived badly? people saying she should post pone the show makes no sense to me, people fly from all over the world to be at the eras tour on a specific date. i’m sure at least a couple thousand of people there aren’t from brazil and have flown in from somewhere else. at least she tried to get them water. it’s a terrible situation though, i feel awful for the fan and their family

(might be wrong though i'm not an expert) *fyi the song could be from later and created with an out of date version of logic

no because it really would be so smart to get a bunch of side projects out of the way next year while shes touring in the spring/doing festivals in the summer.. dropping the unreleased collection, standards/classics, aka rerelease… then she could drop the joint album with nikki before the grammys eligibility period closes, dominate the country categories, do a few dates down south for it then 2025 for Actual ldr10…

i can't believe yet another person has passed away due to unsafe venues and crowds. water should not be sold for $8 a pop, it should be free. it is a necessity. when i went to my show it was over 90° F outside and i myself felt overwhelmed from the nosebleeds, i cannot imagine what it must felt like in a closed venue with little to no air vent circulation, as well as being in a pit with hundreds of other people in extreme humidity. rest in peace ana ♡

The fact that it's one from the ultraviolence shoot + the Black Beauty BSide is so special and confirms that she always placed it to that era, even though she tried to make it work for others. I really hope she's thinking a lot about it and hopes to release Fine China + other Ultraviolence unreleased tracks. Maybe she will actually give a shit and do something for its 2024 10 year anniversary. Maybe an Ultraviolence expanded re-release. Now THAT will steal my money.
