The need for visuals from female artists to be solely them 'serving cvnt' and nothing else of value is where I think the misogyny part comes from.

the gays have no eye for creative direction. all they want is a superficial image that they can project their internal slay queen yas mama popstar wishes onto. no one cares about intention and original image making anymore! artwork is an extension of the music. a-lot of artists try to adhere to an aesthetic instead of authentically creating something that feels true to the music.

I guess Lana not officially announcing the album, and Tunnel being less than a year old, has made this seem not so terrible to me idk if we survived a year long pre release With Norman, we can handle this. Imma bring it up again I think the most basic way to put the Brat artwork situation is that this is her club record. Club music really never has the artist/producer's face as the artwork, it's almost always text-based. She said that she predicts "pop music will be wayyyy more minimal" and what's more minimal that lowercase text and a solid color background. Male producers are never expected to attach their face to their music the way women are.

just went through for the first time and i kinda love how nonchalant it is. golden hour and star crossed were in a way cinematic feeling and PM and STDP were so over the top with what they were doing. and it just makes this album feel like something new and fresh for her but still familiar even if the music is so low key. it just feels like kacey doing kacey without this huge album story arc being pushed (if that makes sense). i think the low key vibe of everything is not gonna do well with critics or gp. it feels like something for the fans and it’s very gorgeous. it was SUCH an easy listen (Even if anime eyes was a bit corny)

It arguably has the largest influence on our young generation at the moment, making them even more susceptible to misinformation along with the Meta apps and Twitter. It’s a problem in general and definitely has been for a while.
