26 likesMy ex just texted me he got into a Vogue internship which interview I got for him when we were dating. We had a little bonding moment between the two of us, which was heartbreaking for me because even though I know we’re both madly in love with each other, we want different things… or maybe we’re in different timings. It’s like we used to be in the same wave for a period in time but now the sea has driven us apart and we’re at different points in the ocean; still able to feel our connection permeating between us but not close enough for an embrace. He misses me and he told me that. I said I couldn’t possibly express what I feel through words (spoken or written) but a song perhaps could. So I sent him Thunder. He saw my reply but hasn’t answered yet. I can almost feel him spinning the song on an endless loop, drinking all the emotion off of it. As I’m doing right now as well - both connected through four and a half minutes of a bittersweet journey. Sorry for the random post but I feel like I wanted to share this with my LB family. My heart aches but there’s something about Thunder, in the midst of all the nostalgia and resignation that keeps me going. I can’t wait to be able to listen to it in our queen’s new album. What a time to be alive. Just do it… just do it, don’t wait.

25 likesQFTC- inspired by the upcoming 10th anniversary of Born to Die and the amazing fan-made book project, I’ve been playing the album and feeling my philosophical self. Can anyone imagine the culture if LANA DEL REY never rose to fame and remained an obscure performance artist? I shudder at the thought. I think I’d be truly dead by spontaneous combustion in a 2010s world of Gagas, Kardashians, and vapid influencers alone. Some good performers make bops and some great musicians make a couple of powerful albums if they’re lucky, but Lana has given us a whole unassailable catalog of songs that serve many functions, not least as biting and brilliant cultural critiques. Lana isn’t a bop machine, nor even simply a rocket to the moon, but for a regular Joe like me she’s a whole ticket to the cosmos. Transformative and transcendent. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever love another human like I love and am grateful for Elizabeth Grant’s open and often bleeding heart. I know this is the BB pre-release thread and I’m getting there. What I’ve heard of the album is so truly magnificent that I barely have words. I cannot stop playing Living Legend-Cherry Blossom-Nectar of the Gods. Dealer and Thunder feel like an evolution of my favorite sounds from Lust for Life (a monumental work I’ll defend to my dying breath). Text Book and Blue Banisters scared me when they first released but sound incredible in the larger context. Wildflower Wildfire is a Heroin-level track in my humble opinion. And Arcadia. Oh, Arcadia. Listening like I listened to Video Games means playing the video on YT and seeing the truth of Hollywood in the eyes of Paz de la Huerta. Only this time the truth is fully in Lana, fully possessing her authorial power, and it isn’t just Hollywood but the mercurial and painful Arcadia we’re all living in. I love her I truly love her. And I’m so completely thankful.

16 likesOkay guys. I dont know if u care or not but we have like 5 weeks left until "Blue Banisters" - I say let's have some streaming party for each album every week while we r all waiting for Oct 22 (as long as the album remains unle*ked before then) Why are we doing this? Since Lana deactivate all of her socials, so this is how we stay hyped (or at least something we can do for Lana). And also, I think it's about time to reflect, re-experience & take some times to appreciate her previous eras We can also trend this on Twitter, Ig, etc. to have other Lana stans to participate as well! This week, let's start with this youngest baby Chemtrails y'all (I'm in Vietnam these days so i don't know what time zone suits y'all the best). Can anyone suggest anything?! @Elle @Clampigirl (Sorry for tagging but we need ur opinion here)

13 likesFor anyone who considers themself as a fake fan for not buying physical versions of music or merch.: You are NOT less of a fan for not buying an artists’ music/merch! Especially with the shipping, it’s hard to purchase physical music/merch because it’s either limited for certain countries or the shipping is expensive + customs are high. I can assure you that your support and love is more than enough! Everyone’s financial situation is different, and for some people, collecting music or merch is useless because they’d rather spend the money on other important things they need for the price, or they just like sticking to streaming platforms because it’s enough for them and that’s fine! Most artists are incredibly grateful for your love and support and that’s all that matters!

13 likesNot sure if people want to include Sirens and AKA but I've made a rough idea of a plan: BTD & Paradise - Sept 19th UV - Sept 26th Honeymoon - October 3rd L4L- October 10th NFR- October 17th COCC - October 20th BB - October 22nd Timezones are annoying but I think 13:00 PST / 16:00 EST / 21:00 BST / 22:00 CEST should work for most people. We could always move it an hour or two later for Australia and East Asia.

13 likesRIGHT BOO i love her but its pretty obvious that she absolutely gives a fuck! and that's okay - i would be FUCKED UP if i was in her shoes my unpopular opinion, on a connected note: sometimes my problem with lana is that she seems unable to distinguish valid criticism from unnecessary hate. sometimes she receives really warranted backlash or criticism for stuff, but because she had so much cruelty and hate throughout the first few years of her career i think she can't tell the difference and she just lumps it all in together. i wish she'd see the nuance in things a little more

12 likesI would never skip 'For Free'. It's an incredible song IMO, in every every way possible. I feel very lucky that I can listen to Lana on a high-end system that's pretty much built for her music. It really sounds like a concert in my living room. Wish I could share a photo. I just wish people (the doubters) could experience 'For Free' on a system that reveals the full dynamic range of that song. I played FF to a friend who never listens to Lana and it made her tearful, she was overwhelmed with emotion. Anyway, sorry to interrupt a BB thread but not everyone dislikes that song. Maybe if everyone liked it, it wouldn't be that good

12 likesI strongly believe Lana has reached a point of career longevity and stability, where she knows who she is through her music and poetry and can afford to be “off the grid” and just put her projects out as she pleases. That’s actually the dream, if you think about it — to just do what you love and not get caught up in the fluff that seems inevitable when you’re a famous musician, and still generate lots of sales and warranted, genuine, and undivided interest in your work. She’s really a living legend.

11 likesi don't think lana will become a straight-up country artist, even if she is currently influenced by country, she always has a wide range of influences and she always switches up her musical styles

10 likesI just called my local record store and they asked me if I was inquiring about a specific release and I just told them there’s like a 40th variant of Chemtrails over the country club coming out and the girl goes - “OH! I didn’t know if anyone would actually be interested in them so when we place the orders in the coming weeks I’ll let them know to order some of that one!” And then she said she also wanted one but she couldn’t ask for it just for herself lol so just call ur local record stores and make sure if you’re not!

9 likesSo if the vinyls are ready to be shipped Friday oct 29, that’s not that much of a difference between Thursday oct 28. My new theory is, that they’re gonna wait and see what the sales predictions are with only digital streams/sales, CDs, and cassettes first. Then if they’re strong enough for a good debut and hopefully a number 1,, great, vinyls will simply help secure a strong second week as well. If they’re not, they’ll push up the vinyl shipments a day to Thursday oct 28 so they count for first week sales, which will guarantee strong first week sales and probably a number 1. Unless someone else announces a release. Thoughts? Maybe I’m just delusional and they’ll never think that much effort out, or, they’re really giving this a good go!

9 likesi attempted to rearrange the tracklists of chemtrails and the songs we have from blue banisters in order to make a more cohesive story and sound. i spent hours on it and i will definitely change it once the album is officially released. currently it’s: blue banisters text book tulsa jesus freak dark but just a game not all who wander are lost wildflower wildfire let me love you like a woman wild at heart yosemite chemtrails over the country club thunder afraid (if it had a rework) breaking up slowly fine china cherry blossom nectar of the gods i don’t wanna go (hypothetical rework) arcadia dealer dance till we die living legend for free white dress its a story oriented playlist so i wonder if anyone can guess what the storyline i planned out for the track list was ?

Unpopular Lana Opinions
13beachess and 7 others liked a post in a topic by Jaeden xx
lolita is one of Lanas best songs (pretty sure this is an unpopular opinion) -
7 likesI totally agree. I don’t blame her either though. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have hundreds of thousands of people send you unnecessary hate on the most insignificant things. It’s like being bullied in high school except your bullies aren’t a few popular kids, it’s a million strangers. It’s not your teenage bullies spreading gossip in class or through dms, instead the gossip is plastered across magazines and news articles. It’s bullying on an immense scale. No wonder so many celebs have ended their lives or had their lives ended by drugs, etc… The highs of the job are extremely high - being praised for what you love to do, being rich, and having people adore you. However, the lows are catastrophically low. I don’t think I could live my life like that. Hopefully, her distancing herself will provide her with some mental stability and the ability to differentiate between hate and genuine criticism
