You and Bill are hunting UFOs by the beach. You think he's ga ga crazy until you see them too. The green men leave the spaceships and ask you to show a Lizzy Grant song that proves humanity is worth its existence. What's the song and why?

I'd show them the surf noir deep sea sexy murder soundtrack Twin Peaks Coney Island anthemic 50s jazz trip hop influenced magnum opus Mermaid Motel, cause it's humanity's highest high and the peak of stripper culture. I know the aliens are bottoms so I'm 100% sure they'll absolutely love to be pegged while this song plays on their Hello Kitty CD player. Maybe that will convince Lana to finally rerelease it. I wonder what the vinyl color will be... -

14 likesTotally. btw I translated the obi from the Japanese version in case anyone is interested. ”Even if seasons change, the love of your closed ones and friends never does. A piece that shows her most human side, composed of her heart’s deepest scars. Blue Banisters, Lana del Rey”. Japan always so dramatic lol a good short description of the album anyway.

Unpopular Lana Opinions

I’ve always loved Sad Girl, but I’m really thinking it’s one of Lana’s coolest tracks ever. It’s so underrated and one of her best, actually! Definitely one of my favourites on Ultraviolence. -

Why do you all think she's going to scrap this entire upcoming album when she's been planning it carefully since K-12 was still being made? I highly doubt she's thinking of giving up on or rewriting her entire vision because a relatively small portion of her fans heard some leaks, most of which may or may not even be studio ready. It would be the definition of "punishing the whole class for the actions of a few bad kids", and that just doesn't sound like something she'd do, especially at this point. If anything, she's doing best by refusing to acknowledge the MM3 leaks. -

8 likesits not their fault that a bunch of little kids got into their stuff, yes they did need mroe security but they didnt even know ... and when they did know it was too late. Also not their fault that the same little kids couldn't keep upcoming material to themselves...

7 likesThis is beautiful. I've been playing the song on repeat today and it gave me right away the feeling that Lana sounded like a ghost on this version while I didn't notice it in the demo. Her vocals are the same but I think Barrie rerecorded his parts witch makes such a contrast. It makes so much sense to keep it that way. The video is also moving and really confirms this feeling. The song has a whole new meaning now and Lana is clearly haunting him. To add to the feet discussion, I'de like to mention that Lana's feet are on this video even if she didn't play in it. It mirrors her bare feets on the Blue Banisters video. There's really something reflecting between their arts. In Lana's live stream she said that the link with someone you loved once is never really gone. It feels deeply true for Barrie and her.

She literally said a year ago that she wants to play a character for her next album (she was also planning to wear a blonde wig for it and i think this is why she wore it once on all stars) so i dont think you should treat this whole "sell out" theme too seriously... im sure she pretty much knows its not going to do crazy numbers in terms of sales and streaming and after that she will go back to her usual self. -

I would probably show them Noir, I mean, 2010 Lizzy Grant is potentially the most intelligent singer who ever lived. The amount of thought that goes into these laptop demos are insane! And I'm not just referring to the amazing mixing these demos contain. The fact that each and every verse she sings is categorized into verses, and that every point Sparkle Jump Rope Queen makes is instantly followed by an example of why it's 100% true. Mainstream alien singers would not be smart enough to be able to put together valid arguments that are logical and non-contradictory. Those that are uneducated will not understand the complexity of a 3 minute masterpiece like "Noir" with a bunch jabs and inner conflictions unknown to the public. A highly educated individual like Lizzy Grant can make a meaningful laptop demo with 10x the quality, because she has 10x more logic and intelligence. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the intellectual escapism of 'Noir' and Lizzy Grant as an artist herself. The intelligence is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the music it will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Lizzy's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Jessica Rabbit literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these demos, to realize that they're not just amazing- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Lizzy's laptop demos truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the vibe in Lizzy's existential catchphrase "Glamourous, Famous, Notorious" which itself is a cryptic reference to Lizzy Grant's epic secret instagram account "notoriouswhitegirl". I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Lizzy Grants genius wit unfolds her screams over the 84kbps soundwaves striking their ears. What fools.. how I pity them. -

lizzy grant's music was too avant-garde & that's why she didn't get famous in 2008 she has a devoted niche now, though -

5 likesin an effort to rid myself of boredom, im creating a thread to torture us all x just think back to her extensive released and unreleased discography and compile a 30+ minute playlist to resemble an album's tracklist. and make it a chronological storytelling too as an extra bit of torture of having to sit through its play through x kisses edit: you can include demos, instrumentals, fan edits, etc.

there's nothing even worth stanning anymore. she put out one good album then used the material she had left as droplets over the last few years, now she's stuck with producing and mixing stuff herself and the quality is just not there anymore. -

Ain't this pretty? They must exist because I checked the Spek. Regular 320 kbps do not top the spectrum, but these did, even being mp3, which means they were lossless re-encoded into mp3. I've done that myself converting from lossless files to WAV and then to 320, and the spectrum tops the chart, even being a 320 mp3. So they should exist even if they don't leak. Hope this was clear tho, explaining Spek is always a headache to me -
