15 likeswhile i agree that lana would kill this theme i think is important to point out that "Gilded Glamour" actually refers to the gilded age— late 19th century— and not gold in general. think of this:

11 likesthis has probably been mentioned before but death never came would actually be a great title for an album! it could be seen as a trilogy to born to die and lust for life - they’re all a reference on life and death. like… look at them next to each other. born to die, lust for life, death never came. lana would never do this serve…

9 likesI am so glad I don’t stan her. NTMT is a much easier listen if you pretend she released it in the 80s & she died or quit music lmao… genuinely don’t understand how an artist with social media accounts in this day & age is comfortable not speaking to their fans at all & letting their career become a sad meme. leak the whole album at this point she doesn’t even care about the single.

9 likesI don't know why but I've become obsessed with the title Del Norte County so I really hope that's what DNC stands for. There's just something so interesting about it to me

Streets are saying they had the album ready for a surprise drop tonight but Sky didn't feel it was right for her international fans who've waited all this time to not hear it in their mother tongue so she's going to re record it in all 7,100 languages (even the dead ones) to give it international justice. She just needs to learn them first… -

7 likesmanifesting sultry collab with ROSALÍA that sounds like West Coast & Honeymoon era. Her & Kali Uchis are 2 only artists i'd like Lana to collab with right now.

6 likesThe success part pretty much confirms what I said before. Her label and management did everything in their power to make sure she'd get a few hits. They changed her music, her style numerous times until something would stick. Sadly nothing about her is truly authentic. Her first video was a straight up copy of Night Time, My Time. New Americana was a carbon copy of National Anthem for gen Z. When all of that didn’t stick, they made her a sellout and even went against her wishes of making more punk-oriented music. Unlike Halsey, Lana and Sky didn’t oblige to the wishes of their labels. Lana also has Ben and Ed who stick up a lot for her. Things really started to change for Lana when they didn’t let her release Cola as a single and when they almost didn’t let her release West Coast as the lead for UV (they were pushing for Black Beauty). That’s when she really stopped giving a fuck and when they stopped investing into her in terms of promo etc.

Music aside, Sky is kind of awful for letting poor innocent SFU be her mouthpiece only to go back on her promises and let them take the heat for it. I find it incredibly telling on her personality. I don’t particularly know or really like SFU (I’m sure they’re fine but accounts like that foster too much group fanaticism) but they shouldnt have felt the need to make a post like that lol -
6 likesI don't see her attending but this theme would suit her

6 likesits basically a drop-shipping scheme. youll pay, wait a month until you get a shipping notification but they wont hand the package over to USPS until 1-3 months later. besides, the quality is shit and the sizing is inconsistent. i have the Sun & Moon shirt twice, once in blue & once in black, and the Lana Speaks shirt in blue and pink, yet theyre all different sizes despite being XLs, ranging from M-XXL and they obviously wont do refunds/change your items even if you send them a picture showing the extreme discrepancies in size. youll never know what, when and even *if* you get with this shit store so i strongly discourage anyone ordering from there!

5 likesSo this year's MET gala theme is "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" - basically part II of last year's theme. Dress code is "gilded glamour" I'm not an American, so i might not understand how it should be to be considered as "In America" but I really think this is another playground for Lana & this is her chance to have another wholesome 2018 MET moment again - since she had proved her knowledge of the American culture throughout her past eras. It'll be a shame if she isn't invited this year. I mean... "Gold" has been referenced so many times in her music as "Americana" imagery i.e: "i've heard those streets were paved with gold" "your skin so golden brown" "you can be my full-time daddy, white & gold" "gold teeth - pretty baby" and she fucking murdered these looks looking all the way 100% American starlet "gold teeth, pretty baby" lmao - she is such a perfect embodiment of "America" more than America itself.

5 likesmy personal dream vision for LDR9 (not something i really expect, but i would be happy if the record would be resembling any of these elements): - heavily dream pop inspired production with little cinematic twist (something like host by cults or once twice melody by beach house), much reverb, a few tracks with more electric guitars and distortion - key songs: valley of the dolls, if i die young, tulsa jesus freak, how to disappear, stargirl, love, venice bitch, the next best american record, thunder - more songwriting that shows you specific kind of imagery, not only tells a story (like a throwback to her older stuff but without all cringe america references) - brand new producers - more lower register (i totally love her high notes but we get that a lot recently, so it would be cool if we would get both equally) - no trap beats (we don’t want another lust for life) as much as i love lana’s current singer-songwriter acoustic style, it would be cool if she proved she still can do something different
