There's no way A&W won't be amazing. Say what you want about Jack but if he's hyping it as the best thing they've ever done together after some of the masterpieces they've created and it's 7 minutes long it's gotta be for a reason. We're in for a jawdropper

Also all of her long songs are bangers. Venice Bitch, Cruel World, Heroin and so on

This Sunday when she performs her first #1 hit “A&W” live at the Grammys

I think Lana was just explaining the creation of the song, she recorded something on a whim on her voice notes and sent it over to Drew who added orchestra and they realized they had something special. I don't think she necessarily meant the final track was her voice notes. Even the short snippet sounds very polished to me.

I have 100% faith in Drew Fingertips is the one I'm nervous for though, only because she mentioned it being her voice app with reverb slapped on. That gives me 'idc about vocal' vibes and that was my biggest complaint with BB. Production wasn't one of my complaints with BB, and with the same people working on the song I'm not worried about it at all

On the one hand, I think A&W will create the biggest shift for humankind since the introduction of nuclear weapons. On the other hand, I don't want my expectations to be too high

A&W was one of the first tracks they talked about and they said we aren't ready for it.

It feels surreal that we get a new Lana album basically every year. Even though her last couple albums were very polarizing, in their core they're still very Lana, just in a different way. She writes about what's important to her in different periods of her life and I respect that, it's very genuine. She's a singer and she has to appeal to her fans in a way, but ultimately her art belongs to her. And now she's releasing what seems to be one of her most inspired albums... like, how does she write like that? I just know her lyricism is coming for our throats

White Dress is literally top 3 on her discography...

I'm not even worried about the interludes because like Burnt Norton, I know I'll only listen to them when I listen to the album as a whole Margaret has so many instruments

After the deadline for submissions, the team and I will chat and deliberate to decide who our new mods will be, and hopefully by Monday or Tuesday at the latest we can have them all onboarded and ready to begin. If I was able to love and appreciate NFR on release when we had 7 of the songs and Blue Banisters where we had 8 songs, I think I’ll be fine listening to the samples that have none of Lana’s work on them yet

Since it's a volunteer position, it's really just do as much as you can whenever you can! There's no strict schedule, just whenever you're available. For me, I do spend a lot of time cleaning through threads which can sometimes take hours if it's sorting through 100+ pages, but I do this willingly when I have time. I never want mod duties to interfere with actual life, so I'm very understanding when mods are unavailable for personal matters x

The second fingertips snippet has always sounded to me like they clearly redid the vocals in a studio

Seems Drew was the main producer for Ocean Blvd (or at least he did the demo) and that song turned out perfectly Black Bathing Suit, IYLDWM are also really good. Arcadia and Violets For Roses are pretty but the orchestral elements are a bit too stripped back for my liking. Beautiful was simply rushed / unfinished.

He literally produced lana’s best song black bathing suit , what about the massive “dealer” and the instruments in “text book”? And let’s not forget the masterpiece thunder

Agree. An artist, who is remembered by the next generations, evolves, learns new things, meets new people, does experiments, goes back and further, goes up and down, put their names in the books. We are so grateful for Rick Nowel’s timeless productions, which will be still listened next decades, but who wants to listen to the same guy screams every off beat, same kid and adults noises, same sci-fi effects, same trap & hip-hop beats after 10 years. We are about to sail in the ocean, let the old ports behind us… 🌊 🌊 🌊

i genuinely have no worries at all for this album besides cohesion, which after seeing the credits and instruments, it seems like that won’t be much of a problem as long as A&W and Peppers compliment each other well. i’m not even worried for the interludes, i definitely think they’re going to add a lot to the album and make front-to-back listens feel so much more sequenced and put together and intentional. i still think this will be her magnum opus; if Ultraviolence is Lana’s Blue and NFR and is Lana’s Court and Spark, Ocean Blvd will be her Hejira

Call me delusional but I think Lana could be eligible for the Polar Music Prize in the future you know like the Nobel Prize in music. She keeps being an influential, inspiring figure and Ocean Bald is shaping up to be another groundbreaking album. It’s highly probable she’ll continue to be one of the most consistently great contemporary artists and just imagine what her catalogue will look like in ten years or so
