This article just came out, before the new Black Keys album releases tomorrow and Dan talks about working on UV and being open to working with Lana again in the future. Here's what was said and I'll link the article here as well:

The thing is, she is always writing. And the places she visits usually influence her lyrics (and sound) pretty heavily. She spent a lot of time in Portofino with Francesco in 2014/15 and it's very obvious when you listen to Honeymoon. I'm so ready for some Europe or NY influence. I've had enough of LA and the yeehaw states (sorry).

After seeing her so carefree in NYC and now Portofino, I *almost* hope the album isn’t done and these locations inspire her / the next albums sound. Lana in Italy just feels so right and natural and I would love for LDR9 to reflect that vibe.

Taking this moment to remind you all of this... LDR9 is upon us x Also, I'm crying at all the parallels to her previous Portofino trips from over the years.. the square red nails from 2014, the blue balloon sleeve dress from 2015, and the stylish messy bun from 2018... ItaliLana Del Rey is alive and breathing x

I'm super excited to see if/how Lana's recent travels impact the album. All of her albums feel very locational, and she's been in New York and Italy just this month

To me that just cements my thought that when there is tension it gets your creative juices flowing. No need for a "yes man", making art with someone else isn't all rainbows & unicorns. Dan clearly views Lana as a creative and interesting artist and he really believes in her capabilities, hence why he pushed and did the most for Ultraviolence to be released and get the attention it deserved from her label. I stan and I want more.

Lana seems to be very social and active these days, hopping from getting her portrait drawn in Central Park to Marc Jacobs Heavn party in Brooklyn, to a gay Bahamas wedding, and now in Italy all in barely a week and snapping pics of herself the entire time. I feel like we’re seeing a little bit of the old Lana, after Lizzy died but before Lana became tired of the fame. No more California homebody beach bum vibes for this album. Here’s manifesting another New York City socialite album. Queen of the downtown scene, intimate Brooklyn dance floors with mixed queer and straight crowds, deep and jazzy house producers that are too cool for us to know about, diva tier vocals, global jet setting, white lines and black beaches and blood red sangrias, 6 AM afterparties, art dealer boyfriend, depleted seratonin levels, summertime sadness, island hopping in the Mediterranean, Italo-disco, lounging by the beach club pool in the VIP area, hiding from the world behind oversized Gucci sunglasses, glamour and ennui. I sort of love we know almost nothing, It would be amazing if she just randomly dropped an album at the end of summer. I honestly think Lana might wait till next spring to release something but it would be very exciting if she did something unexpected like this.

Stargirl Interlude was her most streamed song yesterday. It would be really cool if she worked with Labrinth on LDR9 or a future album. I think that sound fits her very well.

The way Ultraviolence completely nailed Lana’s vision of “west coast fusion with underground jazz culture” — it’s so apparent and apt for every track, and sonically, it’s just so her. You can feel a perfect marriage of NY and California all over it. I can’t wait to hear how location presents itself on this next album

I just hope the record feels fun, ya know? For me, NFR had a carefree, just-doing-it-for-fun vibe even though it has some pretty dark lyrics and themes. I’d love for her to channel that same energy that we’ve seen in her recent posts on LDR9 or LDR10 In other words, I really hope we get a record that embodies Venice Bitch’s “Everything, whatever” mantra

I could never not want a Lana album tbh LOL I can't wait to see how her current adventures influence LDR10, but that doesn't mean I want to wait for LDR9

It could be that whatever she's currently working on on the front burner is 100% finished, and thus this series of events and international travel -- she's got some free time now. As far as her current travel inspiring new songs, it seems we're all for that. Imagine a LDR album inspired wholly or almost wholly by European travel. I can smell the leather of the lederhosen now, and see Lana on the cover in Alpine costume. Nah -- let's go with something Roman, something inspired by Florence, Sicily, and Capri in summer and at twilight. Our Mediterranean goddess.

i kinda wanna wait for the album too as much as i would love another pre-release era n the excitement of new music, i wanna see NY and Italy’s influence on her again. i fear that if we get what she’s been working on recently, it'll be another same-y album

Lana followed Italian model/journalist Afef Jnifen on Instagram earlier today. The two have spent time together in Portofino over the years, and the owners of the restaurant Lana was at earlier followed her too, so I think they had dinner together
