What's up, Lana Boards! Time to evaluate some of Lana's frequent collaborators. 'm wondering which collab was better in your opinion - Abel or Rocky? To recap, the songs they made together are: The Weeknd: 1. Prisoner 2. Stargirl Interlude 3. Lust for Life + video 4. Party Monster 5. Money Power Glory (remix) ASAP Rocky 1. Ridin' (scrapped) 2. Summer Bummer 3. Groupie Love 4. National Anthem (video only) As much as I love her work with the Weeknd and how much they complement each other, I find her work with Rocky to be way more interesting. I love Ridin' and can't believe it was never released! As for Summer Bummer, that was a double punch that I never expected to happen and whilst I didn't quite appreciate SB when it came out, it now stands as one of the rare Lana Del Rey bangers, which none of the Abel songs were. I listen to it at the gym all the time. Also, Groupie Love is a perfect little Lana ballad, especially thematically. It fits the Manson vibe and sixties aesthetic of the album perfectly. While it doesn't reach the heights of Lust for Life, it's got charm in spade. What does everyone here think? I'm also adding a poll so we can see what song(s) are your favs.

The Erotic Electronic, Purr & Plastic track run is sonically so different from the rest of the album but I kinda love it tbh. A fun little moment in the middle of the album. Purr kinda gives TP, Plastic gives mixtape, and Erotic Electronic is just HOT. Thematically they do fit in very well tbh.

There are fan sites when Lana was on social she followed, commented, and liked. Remember when Lana posted fan cam snippets of the Norman tour on IG? Before she deleted landelrey IG and twitter. Here is some of my history of artists I feature or have sampled. There are fan sites I am sure get noticed by Lana or her management, and receive exclusives from one or the other, like the Brazil sites. That is another type of relationship. My VideoConnoisseur or LiveConnoisseur on twitter is a fan site of Lana and the handful of acts I appreciate. I post their live fan cam snippets. It is a fun hobby, checking out the lives, and posting the snippets, with credit. I wrote thought pieces for comments on major publications sometimes, and sometimes got in twitter debates, positive toward Lana. Though I am not in the categories mentioned above, or - like you - having met Lana or enjoying Lana in concert . . . this happened with some other acts I follow - I think my comments and posts were read by Lana, and there is a little back and forth! It happened with other artists, too. I started tweeting their videos, and it seemed like a back and forth, without ever admitting to it, without following or naming, having never met. Except singer Liv Warfield finally retweeted a video I posted of her performance in France, after three years of fandom of Liv *yay* I didn't WANT to admit it. And I don't WANT to admit it.
