I was listening to Dealer (perfect fall song), Black Bathing Suit and If You Lie Down today and it got me nostalgic of prereleases, when we got a cover and tracklist and wonder how those songs sound like 🥲 I’m still not in a hurry for this album, but today, I wished we’d know a bit more NGL.

I shared this kind of a long time ago, but it seems like there's been a resurgence in Lana/Lizzy sleuthing as of late: Lizzy Grant - Timeline This is a timeline I cooked up several years ago, covering the period from the beginning of LDR's professional career (currently Nov. '03, ostensibly her first professional modeling shots), to the official release of AKA, cementing the Lana Del Ray moniker and ending the Lizzy Grant era proper. It's supposed to be as comprehensive as possible, even including tweets/social media posts/etc., but it's been quite a bit since I really combed through the info and checked to see what I'm missing. Currently, events with specific dates have been prioritized, but I'd love some thoughts on whether this should also include more approximate/unknown dates and events. @lizzyology @honeybadger @Surf Noir -- tagging some Lizzy experts off the top of my head please feel free to look through and contribute if you see anything missing/incorrect/etc.! This is a pretty old project, so I'm very open to any help and constructive criticism you've got

I hope it's existential anger (like Tired Of Singing The Blues) cause I think we've had enough songs angry at the media But if I were her I'd also curse them at any given chance considering how annoying they've always been so I don't blame her I think she kinda found closure with BB with the really personal songs, the outtakes she always wanted to put out and the remarks about the media and criticism sprinkled throughout the album... so I think we're getting something new thematically. Also the fact that she didn't have an album title ready from the get go makes me think it's going to be unrelated to BB and not a continuation of the same topics. Sonically I don't think it's going to be that different but who knows, she's always been really unpredictable anyway

I just hope that mentioning Honrymoon in that interview means we're about to get some of the surrealism I hear repeatedly in that album.

I took a nap I shouldn't have and the Gods instead of punishing me, blessed me with an oneiric vision: When announcing LDR9 Lana said the next record was going to be less serious and inspired by the film noir scene. She also wanted to release a short film to accompany it but she didn't want to show gun violence because of the current climate in the country so she was working on an alternate solution. This was in some kind of recorded interview like a red carpet but she was sitting down ? Anyway I've been watching a whole lot of true crime documentals lately so that's probably what influenced this dream (and my constant thirst for new Lana )

She co-wrote and sang on bluesy ballad “Breaking Up Slowly” from Del Rey’s 2021 album Chemtrails over the Country Club, but when I ask about a possible release date for the songs the pair penned on a road trip through Texas in a F-150 pick-up truck, she laughs. “There’s this thing synonymous with our job, where it feels like if you don’t do something in a timely fashion, [the interest] will go away. this is gorgeous <3 i love it since i've been compiling early interviews the first suggestion off the top of my head would be putting the dates interviews were published in there! that way we can also track her media coverage & that sort of thing? there are also a few possible interview dates, like the "knocks from the underground" mike mizrahi interview which was possibly done at the arlene's grocery performance, though he may have just gone to watch that separately. question: it seems like we are certain that kill kill was never released as a single: but in her interview with brea tremblay for index, which was done sometime before the kill kill EP's release, brea references her "kill kill CD", which she specifically distinguishes from her "kill kill EP". i feel like the answer to this is super obvious and has been answered before but i'm wondering if anyone can help before i start digging lol

The photo Lana and Chuck posted of Alana Champion. We know Chuck takes photos for Lana’s albums and Alana has been on photos to Lana’s album. I know I’m probably just delusional and overly hopeful, but what if it’s for LDR9? Maybe she just thought it was a pretty photo of a close friend, or maybe not? I would love that vibe. Almost like Ultraviolence but more angry and haunting.

Lana, please make another Honeymoon. We need a real patient, ethereal and atmospheric record. Funny how in that interview she said the new album was gonna be angry...but was that not Blue Banisters? TB, BBS, Beautiful, Living Legend, NOTG, Dealer all seemed angry or at least in passive aggressive Lana fashion, so I'm interested to see how much angrier it can get. That comment made me think the article was pre-BB tbh. She needs a career revival. Please release "LANA DEL POP" with remastered recordings of your fun poppy songs queen! With Go Go Dancer as the lead single, followed by Serial Killer then Queen of Disaster. It would literally SLAY Born To Die streams.

Anyone obsessed with a certain era of a musician just because they were "skinny"/skinnier are not real fans and they're full of hate so we don't claim or accept them <3

i keep seeing these youtube channels where people post sped-up versions of songs and i genuinely don’t get the appeal, they don’t even sound good, i would never release something like this if i were a musician
