22 likesI wake up every morning with Fingertips stuck in my head Right now I'm enchanted by these lines: It wasn't my idea the cocktail of things that twist neurons inside But without them, I'd die They say there's irony in the music, it's a traaAagedy I see nothing Greek in it Give me a mausoleum in Rhode Island with Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and Dave Who hung himself real high In the National Park sky It's a shame and I'm cryyying right now To get to you, save you if I take my life Find your astral body... put it into my arms

18 likesI mean this in the nicest and least pretentious possible: I feel sad for people who don’t vibe with this album and don’t consider it her best work. It’s one of the best albums of all time and my personal favorite album of all time. I’ve never seen her songwriting so strong or so personal, so creative (and lord knows she’s always been incredibly creative). This feels like the most Lana album we’ve ever gotten and the most of Lana we’ve ever been given. I understand people have different music tastes and have different experiences and personal ties to certain albums or music. But I really don’t understand how, if you’re a true Lana fan, you don’t like this album or don’t consider it one of her best. I NEVER thought she’d be able to top NFR or her other albums, but this feels almost like it’s in a different realm for me. And that’s not me knocking on any of her past albums because I think just as highly of them as I ever have - it’s more of a testament to how highly I think of this album.

18 likeslong story short i worked at a uhhh very high profile liberal company and when she did this photoshoot i was talking to a coworker abt it and she asked to see so i showed her and then the next day i was told i was reported for showing "explicit pornographic images" to coworkers without consent i have a better job now that pays more so it was a good thing tbh

12 likesI have every single version of all the vinyls and now I’ll add the titty vinyl to that. That’s like, 7 vinyls of the same album…she’s really got me in a choke hold and at this point I’m going to respectfully ask for no more new versions for the sake of my bank account (unless it’s a box set like UV’s )

11 likes"There's a name for it in Japenese, it's kintsugi" This line is so great. She's describing a very solitaire moment in her life, "at the cafe", "in the mountains", "running away from the feelings", most likely writing and reading and then she came across the concept of kintsugi. And then she wrote this song.

11 likesi think i'm gonna get the boob vinyl. idk if i'll open it or not but i know i'll regret it if i don't buy it. i just love it so much. maybe its bc i'm breastfeeding but it gives off such a motherly vibe to me. but then once i get that i'll have 4 variants (standard, amazon, indie, boob) which i know is still less than a lot of other people got but its a lot for me!

Original Album Titles

The AKA masters were completed in February 2008, and yet this tweet is from March 2009—so I think this may have actually been in reference to an (early) version of Born to Die. From a 2011 article, when asked about considered titles for her then-upcoming album, Lana stated: I have four titles that are always in rotation in my mind 1. G.B.A (God Bless America) 2. Do U Luv Me Yet? 3. The Best of Lana Del Rey 4. The World is Ours -

You (Ha Ha Ha) was the song I discovered Charli with in middle school. I remember it being bigger than it seemed like it was. It seemed like it was everywhere then. I hope she does that song Justice one day -

Not @'ing you at all but rather commenting on this line - I honestly hate that aspect of fandom/standom so much. Work cannot exist on it's own, it's GOT to be compared to other artists, and there HAS to be a "this is better" argument. Someone always HAS to *win*. Newsflash to annoying stans - the presence of another artist's work doesn't devalue your fave. I understand that we exist in an "attention economy" now, where everyone and everything attached to media consumption is vying for your attention and deliberately trying to starve out anything else so that you only focus on one thing, but...we don't have to buy into that??? So willingly??? This is art. it means different things at different times of the day, at different times of the week, of the year, of the decade, of our lives. It's going to come in and go out with the tides. Tons of absolutely garbage music hits the top of the charts - quantity of streams/album sales isn't indicative of quality (correlation/causation), tons of absolutely amazing music never sees the light of day, and vice versa on it all. I always look at people who are going hard on "This record is better because...." and start stan wars - I'm just like "are you trying to convince me, or are you trying to convince yourself here?" Superstans who make an artists' success a part of their personality and rank their own position in life relative to others by how well their fave is doing is just....so weird to me. -
