But you're wrong. The average listener won't be able to notice the difference between the SYTH demo and the released version. People start realizing it when stans like you blow it out of proportion, spamming every Lana tweet about the different versions and commenting stuff like "BOMBED". You were super critical of OB sales and you predicted it won't even get a 100k debut bla bla bla. And then you were proved wrong. The same will happen with SYTH with a top 5 UK debut and Billboard 200 Top 40

My issue with the old/new Lana debate has always been that it makes complete sense for people to want Lana to make her old style again, because she pretty much did a complete 180 on her style, but people just act like it’s just wanting a btd or uv 2.0 and that irritate’s me because she could totally try new things, but she stripped away what made people love her in the first place. And I think that’s why Say Yes to Heaven is getting such a good response, it’s atmospheric and glamorous, which were such core aspects of Lana’s music that she’s stripped away. Now I don’t think chemtrails or ob are bad (bb is a different story…) but I do much prefer her pre-chemtrails music and I’m not surprised people are loving say yes to heaven more than ocean blvd…

Now why did the email her team just sent out about the song, using her old logo make me emotional?

COCC is actually really solid album. great for cozy days. 1-8 track run is great (even if i don't like WD). if we would add SYTH and Wild One (and video version of COCC) and delete BUS and For Free we'd have chef kiss album

Sooooo, I just had to share these!! My vans for the festival date! Perfection!

Though I couldn't care less about SYTH being properly released (I do love the song and couldn't imagine getting tired of it, but having its 100 versions in my music library was already enough), I feel super happy for Lana to finally be able to let go of that song. I don't know what it truly represents in her life but the fact she kept reworking it for all these years makes me think it means a lot to her. I don't think Tik Tok is the sole reason for its release (it's been a fan favorite for SO long...) We've seen Lana change a lot these past years and that change cristallized in DYTTATUOB, her most hopeful album to date. We litteraly have songs about letting the light shine in. Releasing SYTH seems like the logical next step. It's like she can finally say yes to heaven herself and move on, while encouraging us to do the same.

I feel like it shows how Lana is in full control of her career and her success. She's making art that she feels passionate about, and in some cases she's chosen that over numbers on the chart. This release just proves that Lana can chart whenever she wants, and it's not anything to do with relevancy, but just releasing more "accessible" songs. The promotional tactics by her and her team (IE having the sped up version) just shows how they're taking this attitude for this release. Lana is just that powerful

Aren't her and Lana Del Rey both signed to Interscope? Maybe after the success of Say Yes To Heaven they're considering releasing some unreleased Lady Gaga material whilst she's not making new music? They gained a lot of success and momentum from Bloody Mary that I'm sure the label don't wanna lose whilst she goes back into acting. I think this could be a common thing now that Taylor Swift (with The Vault tracks and All Of The Girls You Loved Before) and Lana Del Rey have released leaked/unreleased material officially and it's been a success!
