I see some of y’all still displaying copious amounts of tasteless copy-paste one liners about how Kintsugi and/or Fingertips are boring and should have stayed as poems - as if Lana’s writing hasn’t at least since 2017 been merging the two art forms consistently. Between this and the anti-piano brigade… it’s a tragedy. I see nothing Greek in it

Still kinda obsessed with Lana’s background “oh my god” right after Jimmy Jimmy coco puff starts in A&W (right around 5:28 timestamp). Her delivery is just SO good.

The Kintsugi - Fingertips - Paris Texas - Grandfather run is the most existential and esoteric Lana has ever been. I’m still as floored as ever.

115K units in America, number one in the UK and the fastest-selling album for this year, number one in Aus, it's genuinely touching to see such widespread success with the extremely personal nature of this album. She really did that

It seems a number of UV outtakes talk about how she was tired of touring, not happy with how her fame has gone and how she was treated (LMLYLAW demo, Your Girl, Madly, Melancholia, etc) which always gets to me so much. There's a huge shift in tone between BTD/Paradise outtakes, and the UV ones. But I can kinda see how she also didn't want them on the final UV cut. Maybe fear of being criticised for her honesty yet again, people blaming her for the way she felt. Or maybe naturally she changed how she felt about it. I wonder what led her to putting more "sad about relationships" songs on UV instead. There's so much vulnerability in both, but I suppose she'd already faced backlash from expressing one of them. why not do it again, and even harder. Whatever it was, I am so sorry for how she felt around that time and what she had to go through. I still want to hear more of her side.

The [mother] censor in Fingertips has an effect like she's going underwater and then coming out. It ties with her line about suicide attempt at the water, and also her line about Aphrodite because Aphrodite was born from the sea.

Why are y’all trying to somehow say that she’s copying SOPHIE by using.. bubble noises? Are we running out of things to talk about already?

My boyfriend and I spent Sunday smoking and playing the album by the beach... it was a gloomy grey day, a bit cold... So peaceful.

Sweet is too beautiful, I can't believe how we ignored her during the pre-release era. The production and how clearly beautiful her voice sounds.

Everytime I listen to Candy Necklace and Paris, Texas I get kind of horror movie vibes. Wouldn’t mind to see Lana in an exciting, aesthetic psychological horror movie while these 2 songs are part of its soundtrack.

I feel like everyday I have a different song lyric, from this album stuck in my head. This album is probably her #1 album for me

what i don't get about the freesky people is...sky herself has said that the record isn't ready. it is almost entirely her fault until she does an interview saying "the record is done, it is mastered, it is up to the label to release it." no label would fund promo for a single for an album that is coming who-knows-when from the world's most unreliable artist.

Guys my cassette bundle came and I’m so disappointed, 3 out of 5 cassettes are cracked it wouldn’t be a problem if it were CDs cause you can easily exchange the plastic boxes but it’s much harder to find spare ones for cassettes
