the difference between Slayyyter’s songs and Flop Pop is that Slayyyter’s music is actually good -
7 likesI hope she wins but I find fan voted awards kinda meh... it's just about who has the bigger fanbase and the least amount of competition in the category At least she has a nomination in a "professional" category too... but it's still the VMAs so whatever But maybe if she wins she'll record a cute little video and she was a bit disappointed with the low engagement of the MV so I guess winning would be nice now that I think about it

don't be ashamed of it, summertime sadness remains one of her best songs, don't let people on social media make you think you're a "local" for loving it -

The Grants
less and 4 others liked a post in a topic by PARADIXO
This is easily one of Lana's emotional songs ever. The composition is actually insane, it all sounds like an Ascension. It's Lana's post-mortem letter, intra vitam. The song starts with the choir warming up / practicing, one of them makes a mistake and then they try again. Lana herself stated that this intro was very meaningful, and it actually is; as long as you're alive, you can always try again, you always have another chance. I also think that the inclusion of the Rocky Mountains line, which was originally meant to first appear towards the end of the song, has a lot of meaning because the very first person she's paying homage to in this album is her late uncle Dave. She mourns her uncle first and then goes to appreciate and protect those around her who are still alive. "My pastor told me / When you leave, all you take / Is your memories". These simple lyrics have so much power, like she found a new meaning in life, which is her family. That piece of advice changed her and her perspective on life. Compassion, to think of each other, to be good people and think about the legacy we leave on Earth; do you think about heaven? "I'm doing the hard stuff / I'm doing my time / I'm doing it for us / For our family line", oh god, the DELIVERY in this part is incredible. I think it might have to do with her kind of reuniting her family? She's doing the hard stuff to keep the Grants intact and cared for (I also think by "the Grants" she means all her family friends too). She's taking a maternal role, doing the hard stuff. In Kintsugi, she sings about how death made her life "flash in front" of her, and also made her wonder who would be at her future funeral, like a movie. For the outro of The Grants, she mentions multiple scenes in such a beautiful, relatable yet cinematic way. She's actually ascending, letting the light in, taking all these memories - the place where her uncle died, the voice of John Denver, her niece, her grandmother's final days... And also that despite and after all, it's a beautiful life, and she wants everyone to keep that in mind until our very last breath. -

Lately I've been really sad and crying because of personal things and I use Kintsugi and Fingertips as background noise to just help me let it all out -

3 likesI have been wondering if there was any incidence anyway that they will actually add the lime green vinyl to her shops - or just a new item? (Besides this Israeli store listing it.) What if they only repressed these vinyls which go for a lot of money? UV UO and LFL coke bottle Vinyls sell for so much more money than the NFR lime green vinyl. I could imagine, in this logic, we will only get the red honeymoon vinyl and maybe the heart shaped vinyl repressed.

Good for her, but also, why a Portals documentary when there's so much better material from her career to talk about? On top of the movie that no one really wants, it's just too much. Planning her albums up to 40+ years old is a lot, too. She's better off just keeping her sights on the present otherwise we'll get a repeat of K-12 where she plans an album, starts making it, and then gets tired of it as soon as it's released, lol. -

this is the most tasteless and disgusting thing you have EVER said and you should be not only ashamed of yourself, but you should apologise to all of Lanaboards and then your family for saying something so shocking, false, distasteful, inappropriate, wrong & slanderous. -

Charli is unreliable with this though, she’s played a lot of songs multiple times live that just never made the cut. I feel like spring breakers is one of them. I kinda just wish she’d appreciate what the fan favourites are and release them. Obviously old songs like taxi etc there’s no point but with recent songs she should. Tbh for me she makes songs that would hit and are different and fun, then releases crash… -

3 likesMy unpopular opinion is that it’s odd how people consider Billie as some kind of vocalist when she never pretends or portrays herself as such but consider Lana a worse singer when she’s clearly much more skilled vocally Lazy at times but still skilled
